About
WASTED Will Be Brutal is an Open World Tactical FPS with Survival and Extraction elements, developed in Unreal Engine 5 for PC (Windows); playable in Single Player or Cooperative (1–4 players).
Enter the island to take on missions, recover gear, and make it back with what you’ve earned.
Sounds simple… until you learn the one rule that matters: if you don’t extract, you lose everything.
Every run is a brutal choice:
push your luck for better loot, or cut it short and get out alive.
You land, move, scavenge, pick fights—or avoid them. Meanwhile, the island wears you down:
minimal on-screen guidance
constant pressure
mistakes that cost you dearly
You won’t be handed a path: you’ll navigate with few interactive markers, relying on a map and compass. You’ll manage hunger, thirst, stamina, and a harsher medical system than the usual “heal and go”: wounds that can get infected, risk of disease, and the chance to injure a limb and end up vulnerable when you can least afford it.
And then there are the zones that show no mercy: contaminated, toxic, and radioactive areas.
Going in might mean access to rare resources… or a slow sentence.
On the island, you’re never alone: between the militia, other survivors ready to do anything, zombies, and mutants, every sound can be a trap. Every door can be the wrong decision.
Year 2040.
A remote island lost in the ocean hides a secret. A powerful paramilitary organization known as Memento has transformed the island of Elora into a massive military and scientific outpost, far from the eyes of the world.
Among impenetrable forests, mountains, bunkers, and underground facilities, Memento has spent years conducting genetic experiments on young boys who were kidnapped and made to disappear from different parts of the world.
The protagonist is one of them.
When the experimental program reaches its final stages and Memento decides to eliminate the subjects now considered useless or too dangerous, something changes. The experiments have left consequences that were impossible to predict: abnormal abilities, mutations, and latent powers begin to emerge.
Some of the boys manage to escape.
But outside the laboratories, they do not find freedom.
Elora has become a devastated territory. Memento's experiments have contaminated parts of the island and created creatures that should never have existed. Zombies, mutants, and other beings deformed by the experiments roam the abandoned areas, while Memento continues to maintain military control over the most important regions.
During their escape, the young survivors are found by a group of men and women who have been fighting Memento for years: the Survivors.
They are former soldiers, civilians, researchers, deserters, and inhabitants of Elora who survived the fall of the island.
The Survivors take them in, protect them, and, as the years pass, become their new family.
The boys from the laboratories are no longer children.
They have grown up.
They have been trained to fight, survive, use weapons, infiltrate enemy facilities, and understand every danger Elora has to offer.
They have learned to control, at least partially, what Memento created inside them.
But above all, they have discovered one thing:
Memento never stopped experimenting.
The organization still controls much of the island. New laboratories have been built, old projects have been reactivated, and deep beneath Elora, something continues to grow.
For years, the Survivors have only been able to resist.
Now they want to fight back.
And so a new war begins.
The objective is no longer just to survive.
It is to take Elora back.
One region at a time.
One outpost at a time.
One laboratory at a time.
Survivor squads are sent deeper and deeper into Memento-controlled territories to sabotage installations, recover equipment, free prisoners, eliminate enemy commanders, and uncover what truly happened on the island.
But the further they advance, the more evident it becomes that the genetic experiments were only one part of something much larger.
Beneath forgotten bunkers, military installations, and ruins far older than Memento's presence, secrets lie hidden that no one was ever meant to find.
Memento came to Elora for a reason.
And perhaps the boys were never simply test subjects.
Perhaps they were part of something that began long before them.
Every mission is a piece of the truth.
Every territory reclaimed brings the Survivors closer to liberating the island.
Every raid into Memento territory can reveal something about the protagonists' past.
But Elora does not forgive mistakes.
Prepare. Enter. Fight. Recover what you can.
And come back alive.
Every extraction is one step closer to the truth… or the last thing you will ever do.
