they is so much to love with this game the community is nice and united, the devs engage with the community listening to suggestions while making fixes to the game as needed. On top of that the game play has not only amazing quality but unique mechanics that fits the game perfectly.
Warped Universe is a thrilling labor of love—a community-driven looter shooter that stands out through its passion, creativity, and ambition. Developed by a small team of indie creators without the backing of a major sponsor, the game is filled with originality and heart. Its core gameplay is genuinely exciting, featuring dynamic combat, a rich sci-fi universe, and a rewarding sense of exploration that keeps players engaged. That said, the game is still growing, and there are some challenges that come with that. Bugs and glitches can occasionally disrupt the experience, and certain systems feel like they are still evolving. Players expecting a fully polished, AAA-level product may find some rough edges along the way. What truly sets Warped Universe apart, however, is its incredible potential and the dedication of its developers. They aren't just building a game—they're actively part of the community, listening to feedback, engaging with players, and continuously improving the experience with genuine care. I've had the opportunity to interact with several members of the development team, including Adam, Obie (Obzurd), and Deny, and it was refreshing to not only speak with them directly but also share the game experience alongside them. That level of accessibility and passion is rare, and it gives me confidence in the future of Warped Universe. While Warped Universe still has room to grow, its strong foundation, passionate developers, and engaged community make it a game worth watching—and playing—as it continues to evolve.

About
You deploy onto a planet consumed by the Void. Push through the corruption, neutralize the cosmic threat, secure vital resources.
But here's the thing. That mission didn't just help you.
The Residuum you obtained just powered a facility on that planet. That facility, once completed, just gave a permanent buff to every player in the game. Meanwhile, someone else on the other side of the galaxy just discovered a new planet, unlocking more global buffs. Hundreds of these objectives, every season, all feeding the same universe.
You run the mission. The whole galaxy feels it.
And one more thing. Every mission can be played as real-time action or turn-based tactics. Your choice, every time. Bring your reflexes. Bring your strategy. Both work.
That's Warped Universe. A PvE looter shooter where the community drives the entire universe forward together. Run missions solo today. Squad co-op for up to 4 players arrives in an early post-launch update.
You aren't human anymore, not exactly. You stepped through the Celadon Gate, a portal away from a dying Earth, and were remade on the other side. The Oracle called you through, an ancient AI that needed people like you to stand against an erasure spreading at the edges of reality. The universe you warped into is held in balance by the Oracle. Not everyone agrees with how it runs things. A faction broke away. The Void keeps closing in. You're synthetic now, reprinted every time it erases you, and you're the only thing standing between matter and silence.
Explore: Discover uncharted sectors and hidden planets.
Defend: Protect hundreds of seasonal objectives from the Void, a relentless alien enemy.
Upgrade: Collect Cores and Sparks to evolve and power up your custom Echo Suit and Ship.
Empower: Secure facilities to unlock permanent global buffs for everyone.
Free to play, forever. Cosmetics are the only thing you can buy. No paywalls. No pay-to-win. No gameplay locked behind a purchase

Every mission in Warped Universe can be played as real-time action or turn-based tactics, on the ground or in space. Play it the way you want, every time.
Solo ground combat and space exploration. Nexus Station social hub with players gathering between missions. Planetary facility progression. A seasonal solar system the community unlocks together. Real-time action or turn-based tactics, your choice each mission.
A Shared Destiny
Every mission feeds the bigger picture. Complete objectives, extract Residuum, activate and defend planetary facilities. The buffs don’t just go to your squad. They go to everyone. The more the community plays, the more the solar system opens up. Every facility you finish unlocks a permanent power-up for the entire community. Work together to guide the expansion.
Play Your Way
Bring your shooter friend. Bring your tactics friend. Bring the friend who just wants to fly through space. Everyone plays the way they want, and it all counts. The solar system expands based on what the community accomplishes together.
Independently Developed
Built by a team of 12. No publisher, no investors telling us what to make. Just developers with credits on Jumpgate, Auto Assault, LEGO Universe, and Dragons & Titans, building the game we wanted to play.
Free to Play, Forever
The game stays free after Early Access. The full experience is here from day one. Buy cosmetics if you like the look. Don't if you don't.
A Futuristic Shared, Living Universe: Every player contributes to the season-wide meta-goal. Connect new sectors through Pylons, complete missions to power facilities, and watch planets evolve from raw rock into finished worlds. The buffs go to everyone, the map grows for everyone, and even solo missions feed the same universe.
You Are an Echo: Your body was left on Earth. You're synthetic now: your consciousness in a custom Echo, reprinted every time the Void erases you. Power it up with Cores, Sparks, and Psionic skills earned from faction missions.
Personal and Communal Progression: Power up your own Echo Frame, weapons, and ship while the community builds out the shared universe around you. Both grow together.
Ground Combat: Engage in missions across diverse locations, including asteroids and evolving planets.
Space Exploration: Navigate asteroid fields, debris, and massive organic structures left behind by the Void.
Persistent Hub: Nexus Station, built by the Oracle and the first humans through the Gate, at the edge of collapsing space. Gear up, customize, plan, gather between missions.
Choose Your Playstyle: Seamlessly switch between real-time action and turn-based tactics in both ground and space combat.
Solo Missions Now, Squad Co-op Coming: Battle the Void across ever-changing solar systems. Every action you take feeds the shared universe. Up to 4 player co-op arrives in an early post-launch update.
Seasonal Content: Expanding solar systems, evolving gameplay, and new challenges every season.
The Nexus Station is the heart of this new universe, built by the Oracle and the first humans through the Celadon Gate. It's where you gather, gear up, and plan missions before stepping back out into space.
A real-time 3D solar system map at the center of the station lets you track planetary progress, monitor operational facilities, and scout for regions to expand the Oracle's reach.
Workstations throughout the station are where you acquire new equipment, apply cosmetics, and add upgrades to your arsenal before heading back out.

Season Zero is just the beginning. We have major gameplay expansions planned that will fundamentally change how you approach every mission. Follow us for reveals.
In Warped Universe, seasonal gameplay will keep the experience fresh and ever-changing. As players complete missions and collect Residuum, they’ll construct new planets and establish various facilities to unlock technologies, all while defending their creations from the Void’s relentless threat.
Each season introduces new solar systems, missions, and technology to explore with lore updates that bring new environments, combatants, and cosmetics.
This is the beginning. New planets, new enemies, new facilities. Your progress matters. What the community builds in Season Zero shapes everything that comes next.

This game is off to a good start. It already has a decent amount of gameplay variety in offering both third person real time and turn based game modes for both on foot and space combat. Gunplay feels nice, although there are noticeable hitbox issues with terrain at times. Flying mechanics are strong as well. I'm not a turn based player so I can't speak to their mechanics. The shared universe unlocks are interesting and provide community led gameplay goals to guide individual gameplay choices. The game is in early early access and it shows, however. I'm currently around level 40 playing mostly third person ground missions and the objective content has already passed stagnancy. At the moment you currently have one of two main type of missions, and a hybrid mix of the two, those being go press e on objectives then extract or kill x enemies then extract. Within these you can take one of two approaches to completion, community or individual progression. More mission variety will greatly increase the replayability of missions. The itemization system is actually impressive, given how sparks function and how the system bonuses affect item potential. This alone will be enough for me to keep an eye on the game as it changes over time. I would absolutely recommend checking the game out and keeping an eye on development. It's currently good for a dozen hours of enjoyment or more if you check out all the different community goals and try to help achieve one or more of them. To the devs, I would recommend three things to add quickly that will help maintain engagement in the short term. The first is to add hidden loot into the maps to help players with access to cores and sparks. Your item crafting system has amazing potential, limited at the moment by the snails pace of acquiring materials (one to three per mission depending on which approach is taken to the mission.) The second is to add a repeat mission button somewhere in the completion screen. It gets frustrating having to run back to the galaxy map and reselect the mission I'm wanting to farm every time I finish one, especially if I'm focusing on community progression. Finally, add more mission variety. This one can be spoon fed as coding is knocked out, but simple things like stop void from destroying x or locate and kill a certain void will go a long way to making the 200 runs needed to unlock a community goal more tolerable.
look it needs some polish around the edges, but the core loop is solid, im a fan of the community objective style, helldivers 2 inspired from their own description, and the solid disclaimer that everything is human made is refreshing in a sea of AI simulator slop this year keen to see how it goes through EA over the next year or so and when co-op comes around!
Game is trying too hard to be too many things at once. There are four different styles of combat and that's three too many. Pick ONE and focus on that and this might be more enjoyable. Devs definitely have potential, but I cannot recommend in current state. Early Access is fine but it should at least have enough for the player to chew on, imo, and the world feels incredibly empty. I get that it's a small team but I've seen way better from way smaller.
aint bad but need a heavy polish to make this gem shine
This one is hard to describe, you are essentially some random guy with a voice in your head they goes through a Star Gate operated by the backrooms expedition to a galaxy far far away and arrive wearing a super suit and a mandate to explore/ exploit a galaxy full of evil juju. The vibes are Control x Destiny x Dauntless. Its pretty bare bones at the moment. All the basic mechanics seem to be in place and work well, though I wouldn't say they do any one thing better than any other game. FPS combat is very basic. Ship combat has some character but I wouldn't say its on the level of even NMS. The crafting and rewards systems are interesting and there seems to already be a wide variety weapons, armor and upgrades. I'd say the idea of universal progression and the wide variety of playstyles accomodated are its biggest selling points. Now that they have a decent framework in-place the devs should be able to expand rapidly in many different directions, adding mini games, features, and social complexity. They've built a sandbox, filled it with tools, now they need to come up with a few more engaging activities and give players a reason to want to hop in. Helldivers succeeded because they tapped directly into the group consciousness of young men. They made an infinitely memeable game that with a compelling shared story that people wanted to be a part of. This game cannot do that is the setting, the stakes are too strange and esoteric. They need to find their own hook that pulls people in and keeps them coming back. The gameplay alone isn't going to cut it, not as it is at any rate. Upvoting in the hopes that these guys continue to refine their formula and turn this into something interesting. They've got all their parts and pieces, now they need to use them to tell a compelling story and give players a reason to play.

An immersive and captivating experience. Fluid mechanics, great visuals, and an atmospheric soundtrack 10/10 lesgooo <3 <3
