Game is confusing and lacking in depth. A terrible UI also. Not for me.
The game is really really fun but its definitely missing a couple of custom options. Firstly, I want to control every player down to the smallest details. For example to decide what units do each player will have access to, to place specific units caps on some players if any (for exmple to place a only one company limit over player's 2 tanks ), to place where players spawn points are, not just themselves and a custoum unit creator would do nicely. thx for reading my first real review
It's fun.
Very cool game with minimal graphics. It can scratch the RTT itch. Deep gameplay and high replayability value
+ original game idea inspired by army heirarchy, which is properly implemented so the game has an actual learning curve - the UI feels really raw and inconvenient because of unusual hotkeys and dialog and menu hierarchy - graphics are blurry on zoom which is extremely irritating and some sprites look out of place or cheap - gameplay feels a bit too slow and too affected by random factors like hit chances and unit placement
Sadly the last update was back in august of 2023, so It's safe to say this game is abandon ware. But if it ever goes on discount I'd say it's worth picking it up.
Trash game. Dont waste time. Mius front is better.
A really unique war-game like that I have been trying to find and this is exactly it. And yes I do not recommend it, why? well put it simply it lacks depth. I Played against AI, I'm pretty sure with friends to play with this will be fun. But playing with AI is just not it. What I liked: - Chain of command: You have from what I can tell a Regimental command the HQ, 3 different battalion you can choose from (tanks, infantry, helis, or infantry and infantry with vehicles or not), Each battalion command has control over 3 companies. and each company has 3 platoons. and a platoon, and other higher units, have squads that you can view on the lower right basically the "HP" of the unit. also each command have squads in them as well. - Actual chain of command: When a "higher" unit dies any unit below them will loose sight and eventually die. - Simple and arcade like: The main problem with these type of game is how heavily realistic and complex they tend to be. Want to move a unit? can't cause something about the wind blowing warm air into the infantry's path that makes the soldiers poop their pants or something. No really, here you just point and use a bit of the keyboard and click boom. Things I hate: - Destroying a higher unit means the end: Having the battalion command die (beacuase of airstrike or a lucky artillery strike or what I call it the AI conga line of Kamikazes) means the ENTIRE FRONT FALLS just because the battalion command is dead, Like the 3 companies below him just become doormats. The 3 companies should still be able and fight, like sure I cant command them or maybe not see what they see, but they should still fight. -Lack of depth in chain of command: Like what I said above when the Battalion command dies everyone below them also essentially die. Imagine you a General and a battalion command gets wounded and he "Sorry general, got shot say goodbye to my companies." Like can no one replace him? Can I ask my arty Maj to start spewing orders at those companies? like how it would happen in real life, nooo just say good bye and call in the next battalion. - Lack of a proper company acquisition or what ever you want to call it. I heavily believe in the importance of ground infantry in warfare. and they should be the center of the regiment. There should be a way to acquire units by NOT calling in the entire battalion. Especially with helis, arty, and recon, like in an actual regiment. Where a company of tank, heli, arty, or recon gets to join a regiment. Not an entire battalion of them. My suggestion is that the "commander" at the beginning of the game gets to set the available units, like an infantry commander mainly focuses on infantry. 6-9 companies of ground infantry or 4-6 companies of motorized, 1 company for recon 2-4 companies with APCs, but this general can also call in a company or two of tanks, arty or heli for support. - Units kinda suck at aiming: especially helis, then again if they hit every shot I would use them more often so I guess its just fine. the main problem is that you have an entire battalion of them. Sacrificing valuable units who can actually defend. TLDR: The game is lacking in some areas. but it is still one of its kind if you like a simple arcade war-game with actual chain of command then you have found it. Would be fun if you can find another war-nerd to play with it though.
waah this isnt like combat mission 45 the storm of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this game is not as good as warno waah the sky will fall
Immenser Spaß mit Freunden. Die KI ist auch im Einzelspieler recht kompetent. Kann man nur empfehlen. Immense fun with friends. The AI is also competent in Singleplayer. I can only recommend.
