Really enjoy this game. It is such a shame it got de-listed. Originally played it on the Xbox but this version is visually much better and has other extras like an intro. If you have it in your library, I think it's well worth a try. Especially if you like turn based tactical RPGS.
Super turówka
the system is unneficient and clunky. if you want a real turn based grid combat warhammer game go to mechanicus or rogue trader. this one here is absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ garbage.

不好玩,游戏很粗糙,BUG也很多,我感觉是地图衔接地块有问题
Шикарная игра. Жаль уже не купить.
I just completed the first level
I really tried to like this game - twice... the second time I tried, I realised that why I abandoned this game after the tutorial in the first go. Twenty years ago, I might have pushed myself to enjoy clunky games like this but nowadays with so many games, even from one-person developers, being so polished, my standard of acceptance, alas, has become too formidable. What do I mean by this? The game does not feel WH40K authentic in the way the characters speak or how the story (or lack thereof) unfolds. What is at stake here? Why should I root for them? With the understanding this was a mobile port but if this is in my Steam library, I shall compare it with other Steam games. Let's consider the first level - this does not rhyme with how the first level should be. It goes too long and truly jumps the shark - firstly you are required to herd three Space marines to a single position. During this mission, enemies keep popping up - three or four pods worth. Once you go to the rendezvous point with the three space marines - then it becomes a defence mission where there will be three more pods coming your way. If you knew this was coming then obviously, I would heal my units to max. Normally, however at this point without knowing this would happen, I was just eager to finish the mission with low health units. Then one of my marines was killed by the very last enemy and I had to restart the whole mission as every marine had to survive - the mission lasted probably about 40 minutes until this point. Space marines can't even turn around to shoot without spending a card to do so! Sooooo clunky! Compare this with XCOM2 - which is the gold standard of turn based tactical strategy games - 2 action points that can be spent on shooting OR movement. All Space Wolf had to do, is to let the units move without spending a damn card unless it's a card of extra movement - then use a card for offensive action. Wouldn't this make so much sense? Intuitively this does not even make sense that I pick a storm bolter and then select MOVE which then consumes the card without actually attacking! In most tactical games, a defence mission would be part of a third or fifth mission - then the game would give you at the briefing with some clue about the size of the enemies - so you know, you can TACTICALLY prepare. Promising concept - but this game is just another example why money grubbing mobile games will never be truly memorable.
Although you can no longer buy this on Steam, I think it's a good mobile game. I bought all of the DLC too and there is a lot of RNG content. That may be why people don't like this game. There are times where if you don't draw the right card you will be at a major disadvantage versus your Ai opponents. After you realize that you won't win every game no matter how good you are at X-COM, you can view this as a decent game. My only gripe is that sometimes how your character is positioned can make it difficult to target your enemy even when you would think your character is aiming at your enemy but the grid has other plans for you.
