Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.

About
All of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War in one definitive package. Experience this genre-defining Warhammer 40,000 classic in all its blood-soaked glory, including four complete campaigns, nine full-fledged factions, and over 100 maps – all in one game.
Upon its release in 2004, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War quickly established itself as one of the all-time great real-time strategy games and a glorious celebration of Games Workshop’s storied far future of the 41st Millennium. The Definitive Edition celebrates this seminal Warhammer 40,000 title with updates that refine the experience for modern hardware and secure the game’s legacy for years to come.
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Definitive Edition delivers image-based lighting and upgraded unit textures, enhancing the overall presentation. Improved world lighting, unit reflections, more detailed shadows, surface gloss, and emissive lighting make for a superior experience, while retaining the classic Dawn of War feel.
At Announce, we heard that our players wanted to see pathfinding improved. We have since added pathfinding updates that enable easier unit management, making for a smoother, more immersive experience.
Additionally, all units in the game have received texture upscaling of at least four times their original resolution, making for more detailed units, and a more readable experience.
Now on a 64-bit platform to support the ongoing efforts of the modding community, the Definitive Edition also includes an integrated Mod Manager and is compatible with over 20 years of lovingly crafted Community Mods.
An improved gameplay camera shows the battlefield like never before, working seamlessly on modern systems, including 4K displays. Increased draw distances make for a more cinematic experience, and the HUD and screen layout have been optimized for modern widescreen viewing.

For the time being, I recommend sticking to the original games unless you are only interested in multiplayer. The definitive edition has many bugs in the campaigns. I've encountered many of them, specially a killer one related to save files. Skirmish was alright, it has a somewhat different pace due to balances. I'll still give it a recommendation if you are a big fan of the DOW series just because it loads faster than the old versions and also they got rid of an annoying bug that still persists in the originals, that bug when randomly all event notifications stop working, for example: When you build a structure, capture a point or recruit a new squad then you don't get notified. I heard that Relic is active fixing bugs, but I also heard that it is our job to report them. Sorry, I love this game but I don't work at Relic and won't spend my time beta-testing, documenting and reporting bugs. I had my good amount of playtime with this game but now is time for me to move on to other stuff. Maybe it'll reach perfection in the future, who knows. Maybe it's worthy if on sale, but keep in mind that as of today, it's still work in progress.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Tempest Rising.
i just wanted a version of dawn of war with some bugfixes and a better camera. but the balance changes recently implemented have ruined the feeling of the game for me
Great older game, got me into warhammer as a kid. super fun to play around with mods too.
This is no longer a remake. The devs have decided to start balancing for a non existant competitive scene. So this just is not the "definitive" version of the game anymore. Its a corpse draped across the back of a flayed one. Everything that makes any race unique is slowly patched out and nerfed so that all races can be equal in all regards to all other races. Its insulting. Low hanging fruit example. They nerfed the range of the Tau. They shot too far compared to the orcs. The Tau.........had too much range........ Modern devs can't help but ruin a good thing.
Please add WASD camera or being able to customize hotkeys for those of us that need it as an accessibility tool.
The controls are so outdated and clunky even after they put in hotfixes to "improve" them. Still no WASD camera movement unless you're holding down shift. Still no way to map your keybinds unless you edit the .lua file. Still no way to tell what buttons do what unless you: look it up online OR dive into the .lua file. Needs addons just to make it playable. I'm sure this was the apex of gaming back in the day. Today it's a nostalgic trash cash grab.
