warframe my beloved...
Interesting third-person SF shooter. Free2play with very gentle pay2win elements, gentle enough that many don't mind them (a la PoE's stash tabs). But after just a few hours of play, I decided to uninstall and never play this game further after seeing that a thread discussing whether it is pay2win was locked by a mod with this comment: "I'm going to bring this thread to a close. We really don't need a huge argument thread based around different people trying to use their own personal definitions of P2W as a standard for all discussion about the Cash shop. This is a topic that people need to simply agree they'll disagree on." (https://forums.warframe.com/topic/291807-warframe-a-pay2win-game/?page=4) Seeing a moderator shut down discussions of monetization like this is among the biggest reasons I choose not to play or support a game. A company's attitude toward open discussion of monetization is itself evidence about the company. I don't want to support companies that suppress those discussions, and more significantly, I cannot deem them trustworthy stewards of a live-service game that I might ultimately invest hundreds or even thousands of hours into. (I actually wrote this review about 10 years ago for my own reference. I'm just posting it now for the reference of others.)
