This game seems like a lot of fun, but it crashes to much at the moment. It has tons of different maps and you can add points in buffs (your build) during a game. Like regeneration and faster shooting (which you lose afterwards though). Also, it can take a while for a game to start. Because of people not ready'ing up in game and only host can kick. But the gameplay, its good. Feels fast paced, controls work just fine. And it also brings some strategy into play. Needing a good team to survive. So is this recommended? Yes, but you might want to wait for bugs to be fixed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JuaBW4WfvuU&feature=youtu.be
Is this even a game

This is a really old game I played in my childhood and I am surprised to see it still being alive, so I gave it a try. Game description: This game is a 2D top down shooter reminding of the movie Starship Troopers. Humans versus buglike Aliens. Join up with other players and a lot of AI soldiers to combat the extremely fast breeding and aggressive alien menace. You will need to lead the AI soldiers and use them to secure spots on the maps with turrets and further soldier spawners. Collect different weapons, earn experience by bug killing and choose from a few skills to get you alive through the map. Exterminate all bug spawners and fight till the last bug is dead. The graphics are fairly simple, but when you look at other indy games nowadays that go with simple designs this one is not so different looking. Gameplay is also simple, but can be quite challenging and thus fun. While the normal gamemode is simply a fight against the bug army, there are other game modes present as well, like survival and a few competitive ones against other players ala deathmatch and capture the flag. Now to the state of the game itself: Sadly it still has all the old problems of keeping crashing and freezing waaay to often. :) But its still fun. The UI could use a face lift, not necessarily in the art department but in usability. Audio settings are wonky, I ended up using OS level audio mixing to turn the volume down, especially because the game launch sound is...loud, I advise to tone the audio down before launching it the first time. For all the new players a very useful tip, this game has a manual linked to it you can read, something you don't see that much with games having tutorials ingame or being very intuitive and I very much advise to read it, it explains controls and symbols. http://cdn.akamai.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/348700/manuals/Walkover_Manual.pdf?t=1427137217 here is the direct link to it for all the lazy people. Also something you should know, if you join a lobby, the game might be already in progress and you cannot join mid play, nor watch. If no one replies to you or only very slowly, that is because they are busy not being eaten by bugs :) There is no indication of a lobby being ingame already so be patient if no one says anything or try a different server. This game is pretty old, you will see that not just in its art but in its coding as well, the options menu as I said is totally unusual, the game can be a bit choppy with a lot of aliens, gunshots and whatever going on, even on modern pcs and it has its crashing problems. But I still think it can be an enjoyable game, I surely have a nostalgia bias since this is a game from my childhood but it can be pretty challenging and fun. Rounds can take quite a bit of time depending on lobby settings, I'd say a good 20 to 30 minutes usually if its a very challenging game and you struggle to overcome the bug invasion. :) But you can have much shorter rounds if the settings are easy enough and the team plays well. Seeing it still exist after all these years suprised me and gave me a smile. Give it a try, it's not that big and have a look at a free game from many years ago.
So, I played Walkover . Its an massive Alien bug kill (suicide ) Game . It will mostly end up that you die. There a massive amount of bugs who try to kill you . At my playtime I saw 3 different types of bugs. Breeders Runners normal Bugs . Pros : - Nice to play - many weapons - Alittle bit though but easy to get in the game for new players - Many maps ,( realy many diferent maps ) - Massive battles cons : Crashes alot ( in 55minutes 3 times ) No keyboard function explained , have to figure out how to build and get your soldiers. But at the end its an great game - Its a game for the little freetimes on the day
**Note**Have not experienced any crashes on this game. F2P game and this developer means it! I really love developers who make a game free and add dlc for free. I actually enjoyed the game. Been playing the game with about 7 friends and this game gets crazy/ really fun with the right people. Pros Build turrets Command troops hundreds of monsters to kill Leveling up system Many game modes to play many weapons Online mode Many maps Cons: ai humans humans run into aliens Ai monsters get stuck on walls Online is dead
The graphics might be a lot outdated, and you might not understand anything of the game at first... but once you read the really short manual that teaches you the controls and such... the game is fun, and relaxing. After a stressed day, sometimes I just boot up this game, and have a really good time. There are some gamemodes, but you should stick to the main one that is killing the aliens and destroying the nests (played some times the CTF mode but I found that really broken, and also you don't see much people playing this game). The track list is awesome, it is that "old drum and bass", and it's pretty sick. However, I really think that the developers should fix some annoying bugs and problems, specially the "not being able to join in mid-game", and the fact of the soldiers not always following your commands. Also, more maps would be awesome, but those available are already good. In conclusion, the game isn't nothing from other world (it's also really old so...), but you can still have a great time.
This game is kinda fun and its really hectic. even though i played for like only 5 minutes right now. I'm having good expectations for this game. even though its pixelated its preety fun if you can play co-op in this game. feel free to try this game but be prepared for alot of chaos. i preety much recommend this game for people who like choas or co-op. I hope the developers of this game make it better than it is right now.
