Over 2,000hrs in this game, about 80% of it in VR with a old Index. Firstly I very highly recommended those who are under 18 to just stay away honestly, much like with any other form of social media, or social games, there are plenty of creeps and some dangerous folk in unmoderated, public, and sometimes depending on the group even moderated instances. I know I wont dissuade those away though, but if you do plan on hopping on this game, please stick to moderated/trusted instances hosted by trustworthy groups. I really don't recommend people under 16 to play this game AT ALL, full stop. Other than the usual BS that comes with public spaces nowadays, I've met some really cool people, really cool groups, and amazing, beautiful, and fun worlds. There is monetization, but you can play this game without ever spending a cent, VRC+ give you the ability to set a custom PFP and Banner, plus other cosmetic things, including cosmetics you can add to an avatar now. As of writing this I met my current partner 2 years ago via through a shared interest that we both had on this game. I've made a lot of bad, but twice as many good memories with this game, it was one of those experiences that tried to help push me towards being somewhat less introverted. I don't play as much I used to back when I got my Index, mainly outta burnout, and drama, plus my Index is really, REALLY, starting to show its age. I am its second owner, but the first owner barely used it, its just a matter of fact with the Index. Hopefully Steam Frame soon.
