(Read this as an informational review so players like me can know there isn't a feature we came to expect as of right now (April 2023) : local multiplayer) As a dedicated fan of VR games like Panoptic, Nemesis, Escape from Mandrillia, and Takelings House Party, I was genuinely excited to try out VR TRIBES. However, I couldn't help but notice that the game is missing some crucial options that I've come to expect from similar titles, particularly when it comes to local multiplayer and accessibility for friends who don't own VR headsets. I discovered that this issue had been raised in a 2022 discussion thread, but unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be on the developers' official roadmap yet. I sincerely hope they will consider implementing features like Remote Play Together, Parsec, or even a buddy/friend pass system in the future, as it would make it so much easier for me and my friends to enjoy this game together. As of now, it's difficult for me to ask my friends to invest in a game that they can only play with me since they aren't VR owners themselves. Another aspect that I found disappointing is the lack of a single-player mode and the relatively small player base (the developers' official roadmap does indicate the implementation of a training area and AI in the future though). That said, I was pleasantly surprised to find a thriving Discord community of players eager to join in the fun. In its current state, I'm considering refunding VR TRIBES and waiting for improvements before giving it another shot. I believe this game has great potential, and I genuinely look forward to seeing it evolve into something more accessible for everyone. Until then, with a heavy heart, I must hold off on recommending this title.

First! Picked up this game as a gamble. Realized after doing the meteor tutorial (VR version) that I'd have to join the discord (at least at this point) to find games. So joining the discord is highly recommended. The game IS early access but this scratches that Davigo/Panopticon itch I've had for a while - without the need for remote playtogether! I mostly played as the meteor but also played a round as the tribes person on PC. I ended up playing for an hour ish with the Developers as they happened to be on the discord and it was a great time. Is good. Would recommend. Edit: Also my specs are as follows (I think recommended specs are a bit higher but my game runs in both VR and PC just fine on default settings, and 0.8 pixel density in VR.) Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6500 CPU @ 3.GHz Memory: 15.9GB (idk what ddr that is. But This computer is like 7 years old and I had it custom built for about 2 grand at the time.) Edit: Forgot something On VR I play using Oculus Quest (original, basically falling apart at this point lmao) through Virtual Desktop to connect to my PC. Performance is based on that experience when in VR.
Come back and finish your game!
Tried playing with 1 vr player and 2 pc players and after all 3 players readying up it would take us into the game with a waiting for players screen while it circled the map and when the 30 second timer would run out it would just send us back to the lobby. Pretty fast download but an even faster uninstall.
убогий клон давиго
Would like to say that I liked or disliked the game, however I really can't say what it is like. Does it even work? The tutorial is a good idea, though it would be better if it wasnt a MUTED experience. Additionally moving speech bubbles around the vr just makes it infuriating to try and follow what the hell you expect me to do to learn how to play this game. All in all, too hard basket for me.
not worth it
If you are buying this to play with family or friends from the same location, it doesnt work well like many other VR games. Each player needs their own PC to participate.
