VR Invaders

I played this game start to finish, it's about a 2 hour experience. I actually thought it was very good: paid $10 on the steam sale and it was definitely worth it. PROs -great visuals -weapons "feel" great -the bullet time mechanic is fun and key to the game -good use of dodge/ crouch -fun bosses -different "levels" for variety and even som edestructable environments . -polished experience overall CONs -not that long -story isn't mind blowing but it's not exactly weak by VR standards In regards to other reviewers comments/ criticisms: -the voice acting seemed fine (some said it was poor), it was even pretty good for most of the game. -the story isn't mind blowing but there IS a story with a possible sequel as this appears to be thbe first chapter in a series. -at least one reviewer complained that the smaller enemies are "simple" and have "galaga like patterns". Some do, while some move reactively. I felt overall it reminded me of Starfox with the use of enemy and boss patterns and scoring system. Very satisfying overall.

Absolutely wonderful gameplay, a great polished wave shooter, totally worth the money!

if anyone was wondering how is this game compared to Space Pirate Trainer - GREAT! I have a feeling VR Invaders are underestimated. It has nice graphics, decent sounds, its fast-paced space shooter with very strong immersion feeling. Perfect for VR experience

Also ich "The Lab" das erste mal gespielt habe, war ich von diesem Arcade Shooter extrem angetan. leider gabs nicht viel Optionen und war nicht wirklich lang. Der Endless Mode war okay, aber es fehlt einfach an Abwechslung. Ich dachte mir, so ein Game im größeren Umfang wäre der bringer. Zwei Waffen oder Waffe Schild zu tragen ergo Power Ups - Check Tricker gedrückt halten Autofeuer oder Trigger Smash Fast Shooting - Check Verschiedene Waffen + Schild und Bullet Time - Check Umgebung Variiert und bietet Abwechselung - Check Survival Mode - Check Guter Sound und ansprechende Grafik - Check Taktisches vorgehen - Check Langzeit Motivation - mit Sicherheit - Check - Spiele es ja erst seid paar Minuten Ja, spiele erst paar Minuten und will hier ein Larry machen - Check^^ Ich weiß aber sofort nach diesen paar Minuten wie ich es finde. Geht Euch doch auch net anders wenn Ihr DAS Spiel findet. Wer auf Arcade Shooter steht und Spaß haben will, der kauft sich unbedingt diesen Titel. Es kostet nicht viel, es wirkt schonn gut fertig, erst vor kurzem kahm ein Update...was will mann mehr. Es gibt so viel Schrott im Reich des VRs, das hier gehört definitiv zu den besseren und hat eine Positive Bewertung verdient. Wer aber eh nicht auf solche Game steht soll sich es einfach net kaufen. So ein Game Negativ zu Bewerten wo es kaum vergleichbares gibt ist... Tröööt^^ Ich hoffe der Entwickler bleibt am Ball, er hat meiner Meinung nach eines der besten VR Titel geschaffen wo zum jetzigen Zeitpumnkt der Spiele Entwicklung gut abgeliefert hat, Genre bezogen.... Was für Satz... So, ich baller noch ne Runde... cya

Очень хорошая игра! Интересный геймплей, погружение в шлеме отличное (мне даже лазеры от боссов хотелось перепрыгивать :)). Лучшая игра, что я видел для VR. Рекомендую.

this is one of the best VR wave shooters around Well worth your time and money Just be sure to turn the story mode off at the start options as it's just a load of talking during the game that gets annoying. Highly recommended!

I came back to this game since a long time and damn, how polished it looks now! graphics are truely beautiful IF you got a really powerful gpu. but then this game is a frantic, crazy rush to play. well done!

I like it! Somewhat like a classical arcade.

6 out of 10 No one can deny this is a great looking and polished title. The gameplay is your basic wave shooter experience, which I don't mind at all, I enjoy a good wave shooter. But the gameplay in VR Invaders isn't that interesting, it's quite drab and forgettable. The boxey droids run predermined routes and you shoot them out the sky and they fire shots at you. All the good ingredients are here; powerups, end of levels bosses, good gun mechanics and flashy explosions. There's a whole lot done right in VR Invaders, I enjoy the visuals immensely but I can't get past that missing spark that makes the gameplay feel rather average.
