It is worth mentioning the game still works, just the leaderboards don't. So if you really want to practice your point shooting, you can. 1w6t is fun lol i guess? I was sorta just reminded of this because I wanted to see if the leaderboards were still up and not cheated, but, no, the server they hosted them on is clearly long defunct. This is the story of this game: it was legit, it was genuinely made to be an aim trainer and not a scam or anything like that. It was a very small team, they did not have a lot behind them. Kovaak made his game alone and had a well paying job to back himself up, and eventually, his game exploded and he got investors and whatnot bc of trends changing wind. However, VR aim training... VR shooters in general, are a very small, niche market. A very fierce one of course, but very, very small, compared to any pc userbase, let alone console these days. Even back in the early days when kovaak's was still fairly unknown, it had a potential userbase factors larger than this one. So, we beta tested it, I had fun beating everyone's scores, they fixed some stuff, it was pretty darn basic and I gave my feedback but there's only so much one can expect from a new dev. However, they expected way, way too much in terms of sales after release. So as soon as they saw first week sales, they knew it was over, they announced they were giving up, they didn't have the money or time etc to keep it up and pursue real careers, and power to them, a VR aim trianer is not the way to go right now. Especially when H3VR has better aim training modes, by far, and Boneworks too has a great arena survival style mode which is also good for reflex training. However, a 'raw' aim trainer, light on resources, is always in demand by competitive players regardless of the platform, so this should have filled that niche. If there were more than a couple dozen people who might have cared. I'm a leaderboard player, I like to compete on leaderboards, I don't care about training... but when there's no players training, there's no one to compete with regardless. So, game was dead. I liked the potential and the idea, but as of now, this is vaporware. I wanted to revise my review because my previous one was too hopeful.
isnt worth it yet, has potential this game is very basic, you have a couple guns and a couple maps with flying moving or switching targets. but it wouldnt really make sense to use this aim trainer because 1: it has nothing close to an actual vr game. no crosshairs no recoil. so you wouldnt be practising your aim for any game (pavlov comes close but if you play kennithhs test map you have an aim trainer with pavlov mechanics) and 2. most games have their own aim trainer. so how can we make this game interresting to buy, simple: ad more options so this game can be adjusted to look like any vr game. if you add crosshairs lazers and recoil settings it would feel much more like an actual game. for now i will play the aim trainers that are available in the games themselve
Very basic aim trainer. No recoil mechanics, few weapons to choose from, and training senarios. With that said, you will have a good time practicing your point firing.
