the mechanism works perfectly in two colors! i've been playing for 11 hours and completing puzzles without any guesses! it is very challenging playing with 2 colors! love it! I was actually quite confused about the 2 colors mode at first, and couldn't figure out how it works like other comments. But I went back to tutorial and read the description thoroughly, and it mentioned the rules: if a block has hints of only 1 color, it can't be painted in other color( I think this is the most important part ppl missed). If a blocks has hints of both colors, it could be either of them. Recommend the game anyway!
Great puzzle game. I loved Picross 3D for NDS and at first I found Voxelgram 2's use of two colours to be confusing and frustrating, but I stuck with it and developed the instincts. The interface and controls are simple and don't get in your way.

Voxelgram 2 is the perfect way to spice up the standard nonogram formula. The option to have 2 colors or 1 when solving puzzles-and for it to keep your solves separated between the two modes-adds a lot of variety. There's a decent amount of levels, and there's also a workshop that adds even more (though it's sadly pretty empty; creators, get on that!) There are a few improvements I'd like to see, however: 1. The ability to select the angle of your diorama when creating. 2. Individual puzzles in addition to dioramas. Asking people to create several puzzles and arrange them in a diorama is a fun idea, but it's also quite a tall order. I know we could upload with a single puzzle, but the limits on size (15 x 15 x 15) do hurt the ability to create truly complex, single voxelgram puzzles. 3. Better handheld controls. You often have to rotate quite a lot to not only select the square you want, but to ensure you can drag in a line. Dpad support and the ability to move along each axis without rotating (possibly by holding another key like the right trigger on a gamepad to move inward) would be a huge help. All that said, it's extremely relaxing and enjoyable. I haven't played the first game, so I can only go off of this game in isolation. The two color mechanic is very enjoyable once you understand it, so having that option plus access to all the original voxelgram puzzles (if you own that game) gives you so much content. I just wish there was a way to import all of the workshop items into this one without each creator manually needing to do so.
