Reviews
7 user reviews for a good indie platformer? Wow.
Tags: Platformer Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Low ambitions platformer. Speedrun oriented. Constant reloads. Lots of blind navigation. Retro audiovisuals disappoint. Review: Jumping has this weird ... forward acceleration to it. Lots of taking trampoline jumps into the air and landing god knows where. Seems to have been designed for the 0.1% of people who cant help but try to decode the best way to speedrun. A lot of the levels are brain dead filler. Audiovisually underpar. Xbox 360 pad detected correctly - simple control scheme. Controls rather unsatisfying to use. Landscapes and enemies heavily overused. Animation quality poor.

VolChaos is yet another retro pixel 2D platformer on Steam. At least this one has two things going for it... first, the mechanic of needing to race through the level so the lava doesn't overwhelm you (making this part endless runner, another tired and dead form of gameplay), and secondly the pixel graphics aren't so horribly done, at least it looks as if they were trying to ape a proper 8 bit game instead of just being lazy and using pixel graphics because "art is hard". Regardless, it's a 2D pixel platformer, and it's not that great. There's thousands of these games, so I can see no specific reason to recommend this one.
Summa summarum: cute little game.
great level design
Very nice game
This game is intense and thrilling! The fast-paced action and vibrant visuals keep me hooked. Perfect for adrenaline lovers and fans of sci-fi!⚡🚀
Fun to play and interesting mechanic if it weren't for the chunky controls.
Vochaos might seem like a outdated game to the majority but this is one of those games that it relys on retro feel to old school players but ultimately test reflexes and quick brain speed for all ages.
