You play as a robot that can walk left and right, jump, and shoot, but the game becomes problematic almost immediately. The first issue is the lack of a proper tutorial or clear controls. In the opening area you are told that you can shoot anywhere, and although the game shows you how to aim with the right mouse button and fire with the left, it never explains how to shoot at objects in the background. It turns out you need to hold the aim button and then press the directional keys to rotate on the spot. Even then, it only works properly in one direction, and you do not always turn in a full circle. If you press the direction key a bit too far, you will lose your precise aim and have to line it up again. Different sections let you rotate in different direction, but you have no way of knowing until you try it everywhere. At the same time, the game is built around environmental puzzles, so almost anything in the world might have a use. After you get used to the awkward jump, which depends on momentum and carries you forward based on your speed, you might begin to make some progress and notice a few interesting ideas. Switches are a good example. At first, I tried every key on the keyboard, only to realize later that you move them by aiming, which extends the robot’s arm, and then rotating on the spot to push the lever with your hand. There is also some object pushing, though nothing particularly complicated. The main downside is the rarity of checkpoints, which forces you to repeat sections if you die. A few dangerous situations and tricky jumps can become quite frustrating. If you manage to get through the first area, which will likely take the longest, the rest of the game is much easier to handle. But the overall experience is very short. There are no real secrets, aside from achievements that sometimes require you to do unusual actions in the game, and a few of them may even be broken. Since this is a very unusual game that is difficult to get into, the price feels a bit high, so it might be better to wait for a discount.
