I like the base of the idea that the developers are trying to tell, but unfortunately this game is not ready to be released. I didn't have bug issues like others did, but it needs a lot more work in terms of narrative and game design. The story in the beginning is a bit vague for how quickly paced it is which leaves the mother's actions to be confusing (additionally I hadn't realized when the game actually started because there was no indicator of it). The speed bar not being able to replenish doesn't really work for the type of game that this is. The fear bar is confusing- why does she just die when it's full? Is she having a panic attack? Not sure. There was a dream sequence platforming level out of nowhere, and it was a bit annoying because some spikes did hurt you and some didn't (but it wasn't like they were specific types you could keep an eye out for it was seemingly random). I'm also just not sure what the point of that section was (unlike the later dream sequence where it made sense with the story). Also why is the girl wandering around outside if she's so afraid? Where is she trying to go? Even if the mom regrets having a child why does that make her let a strange man into the house?? All just points to where the narrative is a bit lacking. Lastly, I do think the art could use some cleanup/reworking. I like the style it's going for but it could use some fine-tuning. Overall, I think there is a lot of improvement that could occur, and if it does this could be a really good experience!

I'm sure it's a good story line and I like the youtube videos, but this game is borderline unplayable as a game. you walk to the right and sometimes there's a random invisible wall stopping you from progressing entirely, which is a bug. this game would be good if it was finished.
"Virago: Herstory" is an extremely badly made 2D retro side scrolling "adventure" mobile app about a girl being stalked. The developer faithfully stole the art style from Microsoft's Limbo game, only they did it really badly, so the game looks awful, rather than intriguingly stylized. That failure being the benchmark for this game, it's all downhill from there. It's only 30 minutes long, so I guess the challenge is for you as a gamer to find some way to get the developer to compensate you for wasting that many minutes of your life. The game features really lacklustre 2D visuals (does the developer not know 3D graphics became mainstream in the mid-1990s?). Gamers don't spend thousands of dollars on gaming rigs to pretend they're mobile phones or Commodore 64s. This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 12 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
This was a neat game that really touches on the reality of how confusing it is for children to go through psychological tramas. I have read a few comments that talk about the narrative and game play to be confusing and I think that just makes the experience that much more realistic. When children are subjected to these themes and ideas, they can only react with what they know. In this case its fear, caution, and confusion. The part that stuck out to me the most was when you go into that dream like state and you are told to do something and "trust" that its the right thing to do (SPOILERS). As an adult with children this really put the things I say and do as a parent in perspective of what could be going through my childens' minds. Great game and highly recommend!
Virago'nun hikayesi, evinden kaçtıktan sonra takip kurbanı olan Willow adında küçük bir kızın hikayesini konu alıyor.
is it wrong i had a boner the whole time
Wow! Just how simple and easy this game was to play! I also love the meaning of this game. Very emotional, heartfelt and relatable. It puts you in someone else's shoe especially children and it goes to show how some parents are not capable of being protectors of their kids. I truly loved this game and yes there are bugs here and there but you just have to be patient and find hidden ques. Overall, it's a great beginner game. Please make another one but with more upgrade in terms of functionality of the game <3
Good game.
What a beautiful short little game. The game is quite depressing and realistic and the sad reality is that many people go through so many things like these. The game is about an unstable family, where both parents are unhappy in their life and that affects the little girl too, sadly this is relatable to many of us and this game manages to make you remember that feeling of growing up in such a place. Although the game is short, it was quite beautiful.
