You are a newly assigned officer of Hexcorp, a crime control organization caught in the middle of a machine invasion led by the Biokernel, a powerful AI that assimilates everything it touches.
You join forces with Arris Fern, an ex-terrorist who took revenge on her father 8 years ago, and the responsible for the Biokernel activation, and Hex Reader, an ex mafia boss, both trying to make amends for their past in the middle of a war that is only a small piece of a darker phenomenon, the Vitakrosis effect, where the spirit of revenge threatens to claim the lives of the entire world.
In all of this darkness, a positive force rises to the challenge and helps you bring joy and hope to the world, the Maidbots.

Holy soul
While admittedly, this is not a game for me personally, I'm still gonna go ahead and give it a recommendation. There is a niche audience that I'm sure will be head over heels for this thing. It's fairly priced for what it is, gameplay is fun enough, with included replayability, and there has been consistent updates. Mostly it garners an amount of respect from the sheer passion behind the project. It's not just a game at this point, its a multimedia franchise with two games and manga comic books and cosplayers and community and it's all sprung up from the dreams of a very hard working solo indie developer and I love it for that. full video review here; https://youtu.be/WPfSw943-TU?si=CY4gz3MMB4XjC7hI
Vindictive Drive 2 is my GOAT! After playing the beta I feel like I can really appreciate all of the progress that the developer has made. Also any dev that refuses a $200,000 AI deal gets a thumbs up from me! Overall the game still has a little bit of jank here and there but it is ABSOLUTELY worth picking up. 8/10
this game ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rules man everything is just a magical experience and made me smile so damn much. this has truly been "The Maidbot Game".
I love how they made this game more mech focus
I love this game so very much. Adorable and unique characters, amazing voice acting, immersive gameplay, great lore/store, lovely artwork and visuals, it's amazing. Bal puts incredible work into this game, listens to the community, and is always trying their best to craft something amazing (and it for sure is). The boss fights against other characters specifically are challenging in a way that really keeps you hooked. The game's map is also super cool. I love everything about this game and would recommend it to anyone. I hadn't played a bullet hell game before this one, but I can tell you it's very fun even if you're like me and weren't familiar with the genre!
Game is extremely buggy. I get hit by random UNSEEN bullets or I take NO damage from the big bad laser POINT BLANK. Please fix your game.
