Great Story and good game. Definetyl will keep you entertained.
Dziwna pomysł ale jest zabawna fabuła.
Villain's Legacy is a narrative-driven indie title developed and published by Mad scientist lab that places the player squarely in the role of a supervillain rather than the more familiar heroic protagonist. From the outset, the game establishes its intent to subvert conventional superhero storytelling by centering the experience on power, manipulation, and morally questionable ambition. Instead of a journey toward redemption, the narrative invites players to lean into villainy, shaping events through calculated decisions and personal schemes that ripple across a cast of superpowered characters. The story is framed around the player character—known as “The Mind”—whose intelligence and influence serve as the primary tools for navigating the world. Rather than focusing on physical confrontations or traditional combat systems, Villain’s Legacy builds its tension through dialogue, alliances, and the psychological push and pull between characters. Superheroines are introduced not only as opponents but as individuals with their own motivations, vulnerabilities, and shifting loyalties. The narrative leans heavily into adult themes, and player choices frequently determine whether interactions tilt toward cooperation, rivalry, or more intimate and exploitative directions. These branching decisions give the game a sense of agency, even though the mechanics themselves remain firmly rooted in visual novel conventions. Gameplay is straightforward and familiar to anyone experienced with the genre. Progression unfolds through reading scenes, selecting dialogue options, and occasionally making pivotal choices that alter relationship paths and story outcomes. There are no elaborate subsystems or minigames to distract from the narrative; the focus remains on the text and its consequences. This simplicity makes the game accessible, but it also places significant pressure on the writing to carry the experience. For players who enjoy exploring multiple narrative routes, the branching structure and alternative outcomes offer reasons to revisit the story and see how different approaches affect the unfolding events. Presentation reflects the game’s indie scope while clearly prioritizing character art and scene illustrations. Visuals are functional and consistent, conveying personalities and emotional beats without aiming for high-end polish. Backgrounds and interface elements are clean but minimal, keeping attention centered on character interactions. Audio plays a supporting role, with music and sound effects used sparingly to reinforce mood rather than dominate scenes. The overall presentation reinforces the idea that Villain’s Legacy is primarily a written experience, with visuals serving as accompaniment rather than spectacle. What makes the game particularly polarizing is its tone and thematic boldness. By encouraging players to inhabit a villain’s mindset, it often embraces power fantasies and morally dubious behavior without offering much commentary or critique. For some players, this unapologetic approach is part of the appeal, delivering a rare perspective within the superhero genre and allowing exploration of darker narrative paths. For others, the lack of nuance or emotional balance can feel uncomfortable, especially when certain character dynamics are framed primarily through dominance or manipulation rather than mutual development. The game’s development history, including its time in early access before reaching a full release, is reflected in its scope. While content is substantial enough to support multiple playthroughs, the experience remains tightly focused on its central premise rather than expanding into broader worldbuilding or complex character arcs. As a result, Villain’s Legacy feels more like a concentrated narrative experiment than a sprawling epic, which may limit its appeal depending on player expectations. Taken as a whole, Villain’s Legacy is a highly niche visual novel that commits fully to its concept of villain-centric storytelling. It offers choice-driven progression, adult themes, and a perspective rarely explored in games, but it also demands that players be comfortable with its tone and subject matter. For fans of adult visual novels who enjoy branching narratives and unconventional protagonists, it can be an engaging and provocative experience. For those seeking nuanced moral exploration or gameplay depth beyond narrative choices, it is likely to feel constrained. Ultimately, Villain’s Legacy succeeds or fails based on how well its unapologetic embrace of villainy aligns with the player’s own tastes and expectations. Rating: 8/10
Great game is a no. One of my favorite AVN is a yes. I enjoyed the choices mostly and enjoyed most of the story. I figured it would be a darker game but surprised me in a pleasant and enjoyable way.
One of better AVNs out there. Plot is quite unusual for an AVN and is really engaging. Lots of nice humour. Scenes are hot, despite being mostly not animated. Great value for price!
What truly amazing, epic super hero tale!!! I could'nt stop playing from start to finish. Game starts with the most humiliating tragic way a relationship can end, but ends in the most thrilling epic way a game like this could end. A true hidden gem in a sea of hidden gems...AAA score for me
Interesting game. Plays like any other AVN, but as it is with all of them, the setting and story are the backdrop for toiling around with babes. I like how for once you're placed in the position of the supervillain with the intersion to bring down the [strike]Justice Leage[/strike] Valor League. As the supervillain of the game, you do get to be a bit villanous, however, I have to admit that there are some oppertunities that weren't taken to let the villany come through sharp. I think one of the allies you'll recruit in the game says it best: You're an anti-hero (unless you try the most evil-esque choices available). Still, there's a certain pleasure to be taken from first straightening out your price girl by giving them a proper wooping, only to come afterwards with a soothening balm to ease their pain. In my opinion the characters are well-written for the most part. It'll be no surprise you'll make many connections and references to comicbook heroes (or villains) which the characters are insprired by, which is a good thing I think. Solid foundations to draw from, before a spin is given to serve this universe. I've enjoyed the story and laughed with many of the silly characters for their reactions, only to come up to the ending, while not perfect, hammers quite deep still. It is also from that what makes me believe this is truly meant to played as the [player] being the anti-hero rather than a true villain. For anyone who's into AVNs in general and also has an interest in some comicbook heroism/sillyness, you can't go wrong with this game.
ta gra to wielka niespodzianka.. trafiłem na nią przypadkiem, w początkowej fazie wzbudzała we mnie mieszane uczucia.. ale potem było już tylko lepiej. bycie superzłoczyńcą ogarniętym obsesją zemsty i wymierzenia sprawiedliwości, to przedziwne doświadczenie.. fabuła ciekawa, grafika atrakcyjna dla oka, spora porcja humoru.. wszystko to odpowiednio zadziałało. polecam
Good game. Couple bugs.
