I would like to begin my review with a quick analysis of the expectations I had before playing. The name itself, "Village Bus Driver Simulator", suggests a simulation game where we are bus drivers in a village. Does it live up to the expectations? It certainly does. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic future where a nuclear war destroyed everything but a couple of sand roads and stop signals. We are one of the 3 survivors and our goal is to drive our bus around and give lifts to the other 2 survivors (Gary and Nathaniel). The game faces us with some of the most unique challenges, like stopping in the correct zone, not destroying the bus and avoiding stopping at the fake green bus stops. Also, we must prioritise the comfort of our passengers by avoiding crashing around too much. Also, the game implements a reward-based system, which lets us upgrade to better busses by reaching more difficult levels. Furthermore, the time trials put us in a tough stress-test, where we must bring our passengers to safety before running out of time. Only disappointment is the lack of customisation of the bus, which could have been implemented. If you like BUSS, this game is for you. If you don't, well... you should.
