About
Shipwrecked. Powerless. Left to die.
You survive only because Hella, Goddess of Hell, chooses you as her mortal champion. Now you must rise from broken raider to Jarl of Krokr — conquering rivals, bending the village to your will, and serving a goddess who expects absolute obedience.
This is the Age of the Vikings.
Steel. Blood. Desire.
Vikings: Sex and Blood is a story-driven sandbox visual novel where you control the pace of your conquest.
Earn Love Points to deepen relationships
Unlock all key characters to advance the main story
Overthrow the cowardly Jarl Sten
Unite the island under your rule
Your choices determine who stands beside you — and who kneels.
Every woman has her own ambitions, weaknesses, and desires. Focus on who you want, when you want — but to become Jarl, you’ll eventually need them all.
Strong, serious, and inexperienced in love. Beneath her hardened exterior lies a shy woman longing for affection and a man worthy of her forge.
Fearless in battle, uncertain in intimacy. Raid beside her, earn her respect, and discover the softer side hidden beneath her steel.
Young, playful, and far more adventurous than she appears. Open-minded and eager to explore what the world — and you — have to offer.
Grateful, naïve, and slowly discovering freedom. Her loyalty grows naturally, but so does her desire.

From the dominant goddess Hella and her ruthless priestess Astrid to the seductive Jarl’s wife Kai, the clever advisor Hilda, and the guarded merchant Revna — Krokr is filled with women whose trust must be earned.

I went through this VN a few years back and picked it up here because it was on sale, plus I was under the impression that the Dev had made some significant progress. I honestly only have myself to blame. I really should have checked F95, which I've started on newer VNs I've bought, but it's too late now. I didn't check this VN out soon enough to request a refund. Oh, well. But to be fair the dev has indeed made some significant progress with this. The visuals have improved and they've even added some nice animations, curtesy of AI. Say what you will about AI, it's still impressive when used correctly. Unfortunately, that's where the improvements end. Look, I'll be upfront. I've come across a total of 3 sandbox VNs I can tolerate. Tolerate, no enjoy. The amount of sandbox VNs I enjoy is Zero. And the only reason i tolerate those three is because the stories are so damn entertaining I put up with it. This ain't one of them. So I had hoped they would removed the complete time suck that is the unnecessary sandbox and mini games that make up the majority of time you will spend in this VN. Yeah, the mini games aren't difficult, but they aren't fun and they are time consuming. Time you could be reading other sh!t. And they're made exorbitantly worse by the sandbox. The constant attention symbols over dwellings that give no indication of when you need to be there to make progress with whatever quest you have is so God d@mn annoying. So instead of it be a smooth read driven by decisions, it's a (as usual with sandbox VNs) slog to get through because you're constantly checking back with your quest log to see what's next. It's like having a walkthrough in an open pdf on the side because the devs were too lazy (not this dev) to just implement one directly into their VN. Only this case, it's intentional. Like you're supposed to check off one task after another like a grocery list. And you might be saying, "well that's just an open world mechanic." Yes, but open worlds have other things you can do in them for entertainment. Random events you can encounter to keep you engaged. And this VN may have those, but this VN is so boring you'll give up before you ever encounter a planned random event. So you might as well just follow the quest log, ie the semi-in-game-walkthrough. Additionally, this VN isn't finished and should absolutely be classified as an early access title. So to put everyone in the loop, this is currently Version 0.8.0. And updates aren't exactly quick, although the devs are fast to respond to problems, I'll give them that. And if you're okay with a time suck sandbox, with decent models, great animations, okay dialogue and a so what mediocre story, then this is for you. However, if this sounds like your own version hell (sorry I just really hate sandboxes), well maybe you should miss out on this.
Not specially good. Many games are better than this
Vikings: Sex and Blood, developed and published by DreamBig Games, is an adult-oriented narrative RPG that attempts to merge Norse-inspired storytelling with relationship-driven progression and explicit mature content. Set in a harsh Viking world shaped by clan rivalries, ambition, and survival, the game places players in the role of a rising warrior seeking power, influence, and personal gratification. It presents itself as a hybrid between a story-heavy adventure and a character-focused adult RPG, with choices and interactions forming the backbone of the experience. The foundation of the game lies in its narrative structure. Players begin as a relatively modest figure within their settlement, gradually building status through quests, raids, and social maneuvering. Much of the gameplay revolves around dialogue choices and branching decisions that influence alliances, rivalries, and romantic opportunities. The Viking setting provides a thematic backdrop of conquest and survival, but the pacing leans more toward character interaction than large-scale strategy. Story progression unfolds through episodic questlines, with political tension and personal ambition intertwined throughout the journey. Relationship systems play a central role in shaping the player’s path. Interacting with various characters opens different narrative routes, and forming bonds often leads to intimate encounters integrated directly into the storyline. These adult elements are not presented as optional side features but as core components of progression and character development. The game positions romance, seduction, and power dynamics as tools within the broader narrative arc. For players drawn to story-driven adult content, this integration may feel cohesive and intentional, though others may find that the emphasis on explicit scenes overshadows other gameplay systems. Combat and exploration elements exist but are relatively light compared to the narrative focus. Raiding missions and confrontations contribute to the Viking theme, yet the mechanics surrounding these activities are straightforward and somewhat limited in depth. The gameplay loop typically alternates between dialogue-driven sequences and short interactive segments, with character progression tied more closely to narrative milestones than complex skill trees or tactical systems. This design choice makes the experience accessible but may leave players expecting deeper RPG mechanics wanting more substance. Visually, the game aims for a cinematic presentation style, using detailed character models and stylized environments to bring its Norse world to life. Settlements, halls, and battle scenes attempt to convey a rugged atmosphere befitting the setting. While the art direction supports the adult tone and dramatic themes, technical polish can feel uneven at times, particularly in animations and transitions. As an Early Access title, certain aspects appear to be works in progress, with the promise of expanded systems and additional story content in future updates. The game’s reception reflects its niche appeal. Players who approach it primarily as an adult narrative experience often appreciate its ambition and the integration of mature themes into a structured storyline. The branching choices and character-driven arcs offer replay value, encouraging experimentation with different relationship paths and outcomes. However, those seeking a more robust action RPG or a deeply strategic Viking simulation may find the current build lacking in mechanical complexity. Ultimately, Vikings: Sex and Blood is defined by its commitment to blending explicit adult content with a choice-driven Viking narrative. It does not attempt to compete with large-scale historical RPGs or tactical simulations; instead, it focuses on delivering a mature story shaped by player decisions and personal relationships. Its Early Access status means that it feels incomplete in places, but the foundation suggests a project aiming to grow into a more expansive experience over time. For players interested in adult-themed RPGs with a Norse backdrop and branching storylines, it offers a distinctive, if specialized, experience that leans heavily into character interaction and mature storytelling. Rating: 8/10
This game is insanely good! Its not one of those boring straight up VN's that has no gameplay at all. It is one of those amazing games where you are not only get to play a full on game, but you build up relationships, do the work, and actually get the reward in the end. It worths every penny and it is one of the best that I have ever played <3
