Victoria Clair and the Mystery Express

A cute story with an enjoyable detective angle. Play if you enjoy logic puzzles and solving murder mysteries. As an ex maths teacher, I found most of the puzzles straightforward, but children would find some of them frustrating. There is a generous hints system if you're stuck. It's free, so give it a go.

This game was difficult in a fair way and I liked the premise. I found it rewarding to beat the puzzles and they were fun too!

Victoria Clair and the Mystery Express is a great first installment from Kiang, the puzzles range from easy to incredibly difficult and it has a cute cat. The setting really makes you really feel like a beginner detective as you progress through the plot. This was a interesting first forage into the genre and I can't wait to see how I will be puzzled and bamboozled in Victoria Clair 2.

Sweet made puzzle!

Victoria's father is a detective who's away on a case when an urgent request comes in. Bored as she is, Victoria decides to take the case herself, bringing along her cat for company. But what should have been a luxurious train ride suddenly becomes her first ever murder mystery where nobody will talk unless she can solve their riddles and logic problems. Once you've gathered all of the testimony and evidence, it's time to expose the killer, courtroom style! This short little puzzle/mystery hybrid has a lot of charm in a small package. With the exception of the protagonist's portrait, everything here is hand-drawn. Some of the puzzles are simple, while others may seem diabolical to casual players. Thankfully, your cat Hercules has all the hints you'll need - provided you pay him in cat treats. In total, there are 15 puzzles to solve, many of which are completely optional. Best of all, this promises to be the first episode of an ongoing adventure for our young heroine and her feline Watson (or should that be the other way around?). If the sequel has more of the same humour and puzzling fun, this could be a truly wonderful series for those who love a good brain teaser now and then.
