A really nice little puzzler. While the presentation is functional rather than stunning, this doesn't matter in the slightest. I actually found it quite charming. The focus is on the puzzles. Having said that, the music is great and the story/dialog are both well written and at times quite funny too. The puzzles come from a wide variety of types, and are all individually implemented very well. Considering that separate code has been written for each, the interface is nicely polished. Being generally interested in puzzles, I'd come across many of these classics before. But it was still fun to work them out again. And there were still a few which made me think quite a bit to be confident of solving them all first go. There are a few little mistakes, but I'll report these and it looks like there's a good chance of them being fixed; the developer seems pretty active. Overall, if you like puzzles this is definitely one to check out. And worth getting to the end too. The end also opens up plenty of room for a sequel, hopefully? I'd certainly not mind buying such a thing, if it is was made.
That was quite an enjoyable game. I highly recommend it! It's got pretty fun, mostly not required, puzzles, and a mystery that you can get very invested in. I am quite looking forward to the next one! ... Whenever it may be... A few things of note for the developer: (Don't read if you haven't played yet [Because you should play {Its free, just try it!}]) 1. The art quality had a slight drop from Victoria to all the other characters. They all have simple designs, but Victoria's was just more specific, and it was very distracting/noticeable when the characters switched talking. I understand not putting as much effort into the characters that are only for the free showing, but Hercules and Elle were major characters that would probably need to be redone for a game that was being sold for a price. 2. Giving the cat treats for hints was a really good idea that felt natural in the world. Good choice! 3. What is Victoria's relationship with Julie? How do they know each other? 4. I really like the big, final whodunit scene. That was really well done and allows for even armature sleuths to finish the game with a good idea of the solution! 5. I failed the Lazy Lion due to being bad at math. Overall, a great game!

I don't play Professor Layton so this recommendation come with giving it to an audience I'm not familiar with. I think the first puzzle might give the wrong impression the difficulty as it's ridiculously easy while the next one I only solved from brute force. This is differently a niche game for those wanting some brain teasers.
Genuinely challenging puzzles! This is a really sweet and thoughtfully made game.
This was a lot of fun! There were a couple of typos here and there, but nothing major, and (most of) the puzzles were enjoyable. I don't know if the Chicago mystery is actually in the works, but if so, I'll definitely check it out
Игра 'Victoria Clair and the Mystery Express' — это настоящее сокровище для любителей детективных квестов.
This is genuinely a good game! Professor Layton vibes all around, with a small mix of Phoenix Wright. I loved it. Pros: Great story, on-point humor, smart cat! Cons: It can be tricky to figure out what's clickable, some puzzle solutions are hard to logic out without pencil and paper (minor con, but still a con) If you like Professor Layton and Phoenix Wright games, you'll enjoy this one. It may take you a small bit to get used to the art style, but don't let that push you away from trying this out. Art: 7/10 - It grows on you, and has its own cute charm. Music: 8/10 - Never distracting, you usually won't even notice it's there. Gameplay: 9/10 - Probably needed a better indicator of clickables, but this is otherwise well-put-together! Story: 10/10 - Professor Layton style stories. Loved it from start to end. Would love a sequel! Overall: 9/10 - Hits all the right notes to scratch the Professor Layton itch, really fun story, great characters, but still a little roiugh around the edges.
A cute short puzzle game
