Holy mother of ♥♥♥♥ this is peak. I am an absolute sucker for games with good movement tech like ULTRAKILL or Titanfall 2 and I can say with utmost confidence that this ticks all of my boxes. Bonus points, it runs great on my piece of ♥♥♥♥ laptop. Sure sometimes it dips below 144 to maybe 110-130 ish fps but that's only on a handful of levels. Could run better with some optimisation tho 10/10, pick up NOW.
Basically, it's just Gmod parkour.
Wall running, bunnyhopping, sliding are all here. Lots of more niche tech, too. Most is required for optimized runs on certain maps. The Original Game Soundtrack by 1000 Eyes and Konstantin Schimanowski is pretty good, varies from very zen inducing to slightly unnerving. This helps with both map atmosphere and sucking you into the zone as you try to optimize your time on maps. Some are slightly annoying after 30 minutes, be aware. The overall map design is fine, but the later levels hinge on certain world objects a little too much, including big fans, moving platforms and vents. People hosting online sessions tend to gravitate towards the maps without these mechanics, and at most, vents. Most of the maps are pleasant to look at if you have a taste for brutalist architecture. Many of the Side B maps do not measure up. Online lobbies exist. Amazing community except for when they kick me for being too funny or better than them, even marginally by as little as 1 second. I let this feed my ego.
Yea i can take mirror's edge set in Bulgaria for a fiver
i have a top 100 time on community map "pisscon27" if you like movement games and want to devote time to speedrunning levels this is a wonderful time sink. I don't think there's really enough here to justify the price unless you're the type of person who's willing to devote the time to be good at something like surf but if you are that person this game is a goldmine.
very fast paced, very beautiful, i hope they add way more levels
yeah the parkour gameplay is great and the feeling of momentum is a lot of fun but it's the art design and the soundtrack that intrigues me about this game. I have only played 6 levels yet but I haven't felt so immersed in a game for a very long time. The melancholic vibe of Vholume is so strong that I had to take a break and write this review because I literally started to feel slightly sad while playing it. The atmosphere of this game is messing with my head and I love it. I feel like I will chase exactly this experience for the rest of my life. This game is art in its purest form
⚠️ AVERTISSEMENT ⚠️
Bilan ?

Conclusion : Un jeu faussement simple mais diablement efficace. Foncez !
