VERGJORN

"VERGJORN" is a really bare bones/low poly student assignment tier "survival" game that looks a lot like it's the result of mucking around with an off-the-shelf survival engine like Indie Marc's Survival Game Engine on the Unity Asset Store. But this plays much worse than an asset flip would, so it's really up in the air. Either way, this is a terrible game, riddled with bugs, no tutorial so you have to work out how to play, not that there's any reason to want to. And the visual design is a train wreck. In terms of visuals, this features fairly low quality low poly 3D visuals which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and while some developers struggle with creating high quality visuals, failing to do so is a disservice to gamers. It's very difficult to recommend bad looking games. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 6 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.

It took less than 80min to completely finish this game, this was a nice game to play, Could use more levels, bigger building area/ demolish&upgrade building options. but this is a free game so you get what you get.

I like it! It's a pretty cute and simple game, and it's perfect to kill some time. Some of the mechanics aren't super intuitive, but it didn't take me too long to figure things out. For some reason the game insisted in taking some kids in raids, despite me having fully geared up viking boys, but that didn't really make any impact in the completion of the raid itself, it was just unexpected and hilarious KJDHSGKJS

I would love to see a better more fleshed out version of the game but for a free game 10/10 fun and cute little game just a time waster

No instructions, ignore this 'game' like a plague.
