Very simple yet it does bring to mind how much i dislike impartial courts as they in the end only continue to enforce the rules of the system that hurts the downtrodden at every step of the way.

It was ok. A little boring and black and white, but I suppose that was the point. Would have been fun if there were more choices and interaction with the evidence. Great graphics, only noticed one typo near the end of the Guilty verdict.
A cringe, incomprehensible visual novel with cringe music. It’s painful to even read this garbage.
I found this to be an original theme whereby as things progressed,I asked myself what would I do as a juror despite the fantastical nature of the trial. I think it’s deserved of a thumbs up but I think the jurors deliberations should have gone on for longer, they could have thrashed out their arguments more extensively. Anyway, a good short story with an immersive role.
Great art style and a good story for when you're doing something else but you still want to play a game.
Vampire On Trial is a free, short visual novel. The player is one of the jury who have to decide whether an ex-human who was forcibly changed into a vampire without consent and later offered no support by authorities or the vampire community, can be held responsible for one death and other injuries inflicted on humans when he had to feed. There is only one choice for the player to make: guilty or not guilty. I thought that the dialogue (from the judge, the prosecutor & defence advocates, witnesses, the accused, and other jurists) was very well done and quite thought-provoking, and the artwork was very attractive. However, the premise of the game faced by the player i.e. that the verdict is all or nothing - guilty means death, not guilty means no repercussions at all - is not actually true for one of the verdicts, which weakens the balance of the game in my view. I don't want to spoil the experience for new players so I'll just say that if a nuanced outcome is possible for one verdict, it ought to equally possible for the other, as it would be in real court cases. Nonetheless, a clever, thoughtful and attractive game.
