The year is 2033. You, an ex-Marine with little opportunities left, have signed up with Utopia Arura, a large mining corporation on Mars. They have sent you to a location they have proposed but you have chosen for mining. Everything else is up to you.

Highly Addictive!! well made Mars exploration, Mining game. I love the format this game presents, I cannot wait to see what improvements get added over time especially the mission's in some of the far away bases that i can see are still work in progress.. What i'd love to see is navigation to finding our Rover's ect when leaving them, as they could easily become lost when having to leave them due to higher terrain to get to some places. Also those dust storms would be amazing if you could see them roll in very slowly but last longer and have some warning system possibly so we could try get shelter depending on the degree they come at, The ability to create a emergency shelter to ride them out when no sheltors around could be great too..Less penalties for dust storms would be nice... I just want to say this game has sooo much potential if the developer over time puts more into this :D such a great game atm but could become better.. I would also love to see the rover have a more zoomed out view when driving and a third person view of player would be better then third person but that's just me .. Overall I've no idea why there's so much negative feedback on here with this game especially when it's still in development stages and sometimes it takes ages for updates and fixes especially when there's less developers working on things, patience people.
So, I understand why others don't like this. It's a little hard to work out the different bits, the story is still a bit rough, there's some things that still need working out or fleshed out. That said, it's a great base for what it is. I'll be interested to play future updates as it continues. As the page currently says - Early Access - and I've judged it accordingly. It's a good game with solid bones. It'll be interesting to see where it goes. My biggest criticism is the various nonsequiturs the player character makes at odd points. Sometimes they work, most of the time they don't.
Dead Game
It is a year later and the Tubers talk smak about the game. I paid 16.00 and think it was well worth it. I am enjoying it and love that it is different and solo building oriented , however I would like to see some graphic upgrades pixels boxels and better land options. I am still just breaking it in. But I think that ship has sailed. K
Beautiful game. Immersive resource gathering and survival on Mars. Huge barren world gives that good Mars-feeling. Good balance and story. Some grind and long drives, but that adds to the atmosphere. I would like to see some more features with vehicle fuel and oxygen management. This is a pleasant game with many hours of relaxed fun at a fair price. Great fun. The sandstorms work really well, temporarily blocking your navigation. Very happy with ore not respawning. Areas deplete as they should.
I love the idea of simulating mining and chilling on Mars. There would be so many great possibilities here. But this game is very far from being a simulator. Currently it looks more like a pre-pre-alpha or ~10 year old tech demo. The graphics are terrible, there is absolutely no "I'm a miner on Mars" or "wow! I'm on Mars" feeling. It feels more like a walking simulator. There are exactly 2 foreign bases that can be visited. Both are looted and explored in 5 minutes. At the larger one, there are a handful of missions to complete. They run as follows: - go to point A - press E (except for a mission to collect a pair of fruits and one to collect ore) - go back Then there are a few places where resources can be mined automatically. There you put a miner/extractor on and that's it. Nothing more to do... No repairing, no recalibrating (e.g. after sandstorms), no checking, nothing.... There are also very few places where resources can be mined by hand. If they are empty you have nothing more to do. There is nothing else to explore. Mars is simply dead here. There are currently only 3 NPCs. I would rather call them characters than real NPCs. Maybe they can be compared to NPCs from 10-15 years ago. Also there are almost no animations, awefull computer interfaces (looks like copied from Star Trek but totally loveless; Of course reused for many different kinds of interfaces), no eye candy or nice details. Nothing. No animations like getting into the rower, you just despawn and <poof> you ride the rower. Why can't you manually open the doors on the rowers? Why can't you explore the rowers or enter them normally? Why is there no inventory? Just a Backpack where ore goes in and finally beams over to the base when entering it... If i were a Miner on Mars, my backpack wouldn't unpack itself. No nice animations of building the buildings (just a boring video of rowers driving) - nothing. There is not even a day/night cycle - it is permanently day. What happens to the SOLs? Sandstorms also just spawn around you instead of slowly approaching. Every now and then sandstorms spawn relatively fast one after the other. I would have many other criticisms (senseless marketplace, pointless base upgrades, useless refining, etc) but I think it's enough to get a feel for the current state. The only reason why I played 7h at all is that I wanted to see how the buildings look like. Sorry Guys but this Game needs much much more love!
The concept isn't bad. I like sci-fi base building games. The building models actually look really good, but the mechanic to place them is pretty bad. The Rover model isn't bad, but I'm not sure the scale relative to the player. There needs to be a way to put ore in the Rover without entering it. I'm not sure why a purpose-built rover with eight wheels has difficulty traversing terrain that a regular Earth Jeep could do no problem. The planet doesn't look too bad, but needs to be built upon. Rocks, dirt, etc... on the surface to give it some character. The character animations are not great. They somehow make a boring activity, like picking rocks, even more boring. The UI is very basic, and pretty ugly. The cutscenes are horrible. Is that 640x480 resolution? In a crowded field of early access games (particularly survival-craft games), it doesn't really stand out. It has been in early access for two years already, and still seems pretty lacking. I can't recommend this game over the much better options out there, particularly for the price.
A very chill and pleasant game, with a lot more to do than I expected at first. A nice sense of exploration & progression, and no combat (or fall damage!).
Not finished despite being called 1.0 released. Abandonware. It had interesting potential that will never be developed.
