I am by no means a good reviewer, but hey ho, here goes! UniverCity is the best execution of a *University simulation as of yet, in my opinion. It has the basic mechanics down, the building, while not perfect is functional and allows you to customise your school if you want. With some workshop integration and the ability to have custom furniture would be great to expand this easily! The method of attracting students as currently also basic, it works, you get students coming, slowly at first, but then the higher your ratings and grades the more that come. Making it a constant challenge to keep your UniverCity fully staffed and with enough classes to please the students. The graphs provide the necessary information to let you know how the school is going and hiring ad firing is simple. However, the game could most definitely do with more expansion on its current denatures. For example, there are currently no ways to gain more students in a manual way, possible advertising, specific classes attract more students, maybe it could depend on your student experience rating, not just your performance one. The ability to instead research may be cool but I don’t know if it would fit too well. I’ve seen some comment on the graphics, personally I like them, maybe I don’t have as high standards as others, but I think it looks good and the animations aren’t unrealistic looking at all. Anyways... So far i have enjoyed the game, In its current state and for £6.11 i recommend you get it, with the game being Early Access and having a seemingly active de i think this could become a great game given the backing. I mean so far I’ve spent 6 hours playing and am yet to be bored! As allways here is some footage of the game for those interested - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLLscwsmNuzi-4sqTAATsaNu0I9EZgV9d0

I very reluctantly have to give this game a "no" although it does have the potential to become a decent game if the dev is willing to build on what he has already achieved. My problem is that at the moment there doesn't appear to be any great purpose in the game, you build different types of classroom hire a teacher (professor) and then just watch the students file in and out of rooms for four two hour lessons every day. My main big concerns are not being able to pause the game when building a new classroom and the fact that teachers to often don't want to teach, they prefer to stay in their staffroom and you have to continuously drag them out, which becomes very tedious. I have also not yet discovered how to expand my building area which is at the start far too small to fit all the different rooms available into. If these and a few other issues can be addressed then I will in time hopefully change my mind and give the game a thumbs up.
I love this! I could do with some work... like having control over the money... like setting the prices of the classes and other services. it would be great to see more control over the teachers and managing them. Also to have teachers be expects in their fields and to gain exp? Overall I love where you are going with this and I cant wait to see more!
Game has ALOT of potential, but for now its just the basics, with people idling outsite the rooms, took me a while to figre out how to add courses but once i figured it out, it was relativly easy, would be better with Tooltips and a way to know how to remove items you dont want (right click on items in EDIT ROOM MODE) that took a while to figure out. currently, Not a bad game, Im looking forward to seeing where it goes
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qHIYAYeTkOk забавный тайкун со строительством университета, очень сырой пока что, на пару часов контента.
(Playtime is inaccurate as I've played in Steam offline mode.) The developer rushed the release to a non-functional 1.0 and made it open-source. You can't even do basic tycoon functionality in this game. The writing was on the wall when the "patches" were very barebones and basic in nature, and here we are - a non-functional cash grab. Beware any future games or projects made by this developer. Many one man dev teams have pulled off at least FUNCTIONAL projects of this caliber (Rimworld, Coffee Biz Tycoon, Diesel Railcar Simulator, anyone?) so I'm hugely disappointed in what was going to be a niche-filling pioneer. Wish I didn't get duped into buying this, but I guess that's what I got for "Early Access".
Great game, am having loads of fun expanding and building my ultimate university. If you are the kind of person who likes a building game, this is the one for you!
ehmmm so the game just shut down when completeing the tutorial that did not work as it should... Probbaly a good game but not worth buying yet. this game needs major improvements
Had potential, but guess we won't see that now. Don't think I'll play this again.
THIS IS A REVIEW IN ITS CURRENT STATE, I will judge this based on the fact that it is in EARLY ACCESS. Now onto the review. At its CURRENT STAGE, there isnt much content but the basic framework of an amazing game is there, upto about an hour it is fun, but after that it gets repetetive, I would probably wait until it goes on sale to buy this but its upto you. The graphics are nice, simple and easy on the eyes. But overall it needs more content, genuienly it is a good game, just needs more content! :D
