About

In this immersive story, you follow Adam, a troubled man whose life takes a strange turn as he falls deeply in love with Jinny—a woman he’s only ever met in his recurring dreams. With each night, his connection to her intensifies, but so does his disconnect from reality.
Or so it seems.
Adam’s only hope for answers might lie with his neighbor, Rhonda, but there's a catch—she’s mysteriously vanished.
You are Adam, living a quiet, predictable life, running a small 3D printing business from your cozy apartment. Your days blur together with therapy sessions and fulfilling customer orders. It’s mundane, but it’s safe.
At night, everything changes. In your dreams, Jinny, the woman you adore, awaits—perfect and unattainable in reality. But as your dreams twist from blissful escapes to unsettling nightmares, a dark truth emerges: these dreams aren't yours to control.
As your grip on reality frays, you’ll journey through haunting environments, uncovering clues and unlocking areas that pull you deeper into a chilling mystery. Optional scenarios reveal deeper truths—but beware, some knowledge comes with painful consequences.
Piece together fragments of dreams and reality, discovering shocking connections to real-world disappearances, including Rhonda's. As the line between your dreams and waking life shatters, you must confront the nightmare consuming you and uncover the truth before it’s too late.
Unfeigned Depths immerses the player in two distinct world spaces:
Reality: A beautifully crafted, modern-day city block where the player's apartment complex is located.
Dreams: A starkly contrasting setting with entirely different visuals, representing the player's dream world. The dreamscape includes various settings such as a vast, lush forest, an otherworldly vision of isolation after death, and a desolate hellscape designed to evoke suffering and torment.
Some environments are only accessible through optional and dynamic story events that the player must choose to embark on. Others are seamlessly transitioned into via thoughtfully designed sections, such as dark and damp utility tunnels, ancient corridors, and abandoned cave systems.
As players follow the storyline, they will discover firsthand how these dreamscapes may actually overlap with reality.
Features include:
Fully voiced, story-rich dialogue between the player and multiple NPCs.
A multi-faceted narrative that provides complexity without sacrificing the core story.
Dynamic story events that offer optional content for players to experience. For example, a knock at the door presents a choice-based scenario, but the story progresses either way.
Branched story sequences that offer more than just a "Game Over" or "You Died" screen.
Interactive world objects that provide story-relevant information.
A variety of mildly challenging puzzles.
Beautiful, immersive visual environments (#MadeWithUnity).
A deeply psychological experience that will leave players questioning reality and intent.
Six playable acts, each set in different, cohesively designed environments.
First-person perspective.

Reviews
Unfeigned Depths is a rare gem in the horror genre, bringing a fresh twist to a landscape often dominated by predictable jump scares and gruesome visuals. This game offers an experience that is as unsettling as it is original. Unlike many of its peers, it doesn't rely on traditional horror tropes. Instead, it crafts a narrative that plays with the player's perception, making every moment feel uncertain and disorienting. The protagonist’s mental state deteriorates as you move deeper into the story, and the game’s world shifts and warps in ways that are subtle but chilling. What makes this game stand out is the sheer unpredictability of its environments. What sets this game apart from other horror games is its masterful use of sound and visual design to unnerve the player without relying on overused scares. The soundtrack is minimalistic, featuring ambient sounds and whispers that leave you constantly on edge. Even the moments of silence are filled with tension, as you never know when the game might take a sudden, surreal turn. Its visual style leans towards the abstract, using shadows and distorted perspectives to keep you questioning what’s real. It’s a welcome departure from the typical gore-fest, making it an experience that lingers long after you're done. This game is not for everyone—it’s slow, methodical, and often confusing, demanding patience and curiosity from the player. But if you’re tired of conventional horror games and crave something that feels innovative and genuinely unnerving, Unfeigned Depths is a must-play. It’s a bold reminder that true horror isn’t about what you see—it's about what you don’t, and what your mind fills in the shadows.
This game was AMAZINGLY SCARY! I had a blast playing! I encountered a bug during my play through and when I informed the developer, he immediately fixed the issue and posted an update! You can tell when developers care about their games and the people playing them, and Void Wire is one of those developers! I hope I get to play more games in the future! I'm so glad that I played this game and I hope others can have the same great experience that I had (with many jump scares lol)!
The level of detail in the environments is way more than I expected from a game two or even three times this price. The music does a good job of setting a tone for a scene. Searching for clues reminds me of puzzle games like Mist or Portal (two games I loved!) No step by step instructions lets you explore and figure out how to make the world work and grant access to more areas. This means you have to actually pay attention to the game to get the clues and no just button smash through. The story is very interesting! My favorite area that I think most will under appreciate is what I am going to refer as the Platform Realm. For a small game development studio I think they did a knock out job. There were a few glitches at initial launch but they have quickly fixed them and that shows that they are paying attention to the end user and listening... Something even the big developers do not do.
