Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Sep 7 → 1/day in the week after.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Jul 25 → 1.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

That guy in the cage was pissing me off that little egotistical bastard im catching him in the next game. Other than that 10/10 awesome game.

Unboxing the Cryptic Killer is a puzzle co-op where you join forces as two detectives, solve cooperative puzzles, communicate effectively, crack the codes, and outsmart the killer to unravel the mystery of a cryptic box. My friend and I finally got back to playing another puzzle game since we had fun with Tick Tock: A Tale for Two, and we’re down for more! I thought this sounded interesting just because I like being a detective when it comes to small crimes, and having my partner with me just sounds like a lot of fun. It took us two sittings to finally beat it, which isn’t a bad thing to say, but it definitely could’ve been beaten in one sitting if it wasn’t stupid in some points. I like the art direction of the game, which looked like out of a comic book, to the point of even having it structured like you’re reading the book yourself. Half the puzzles, I think, are effectively challenging, where my friend and I were trying to figure out things that didn’t feel too hard. That is, until I went further into the puzzles, and there’s inconsistent quality to it when it comes to the difficulty. Sometimes the beginning puzzles are harder than the later puzzles, which is very strange. Sometimes the puzzles are way too hard to figure out that we have been using hints a lot, and the hint system is honestly very stupid. It doesn’t feel like it was progressively getting harder or making it clear in the hint system; sometimes it just straight up gives you an answer when you haven’t gotten to the last hint. How the puzzles were created can be so stupid that even when we get them done, we still don’t know how we managed to beat them. Some of the voice acting wasn’t the best, but as is, Unboxing the Cryptic Killer is a decent, yet frustrating experience that I never see myself revisiting this game that I’m glad I managed to even beat this game. 6/10
