About
You know, when you explain an idea, the idea fundamentally changes.
UNBEATABLE is an anime-juiced rhythm adventure where you (figuratively) destroy on stage while you (literally) destroy on stage. During rhythm gameplay, you only need two buttons: a button for up and a button for down. Simple to understand! The complicated part is doing it. Try not to get destroyed yourself.
Half the game is walking around and taking things at your own pace. The other half is trying to keep up with ours.
The pink-haired girl is Beat, and she is you, and you have a lot of things to worry about. The cops are everywhere, and they are mad at you for what feels like no good reason. Though it doesn't help your case that you keep making friends with people that the cops are mad at for slightly better reasons. But what do I know?
Talk to people, help them out (or don't, I'm not your mom!), play huge concerts, and punch cops. And then run away from the cops you punched. Also there are monsters or something. Not sure what's going on there?!?!
All of this culminates in massive setpieces where everything is at stake. The music got you here. It'll get you through it.
*if this was 1999 this section would be called "talk the talk and rock the rock"
UNBEATABLE's full arcade mode is an entire game by itself with its own progression system and a full online component. There's modifiers, tons of songs (with more to come!) and a whole challenge board to beat, with things to do that range from as simple as "beat a song on easy mode" to, one may presume, something as complicated as "solve an ancient riddle while skateboarding." That's not a real example.

FEATURES:
Story Mode: 6-8 hours. Arcade Mode: UNLIMITED
Characters that hate you!
Maybe also some that don't!
The arcade mode has a cute little profile you can customize and unlock stuff for and I think that's pretty neat
Graphics! We'd describe them but I mean it's right there, you can see it
A whole entire double album worth of original songs
plus acoustic versions of those songs
oh and also remixes, too
You can unlock all the songs by playing the narrative OR just by playing the arcade game exclusively! Great for those who truly hate stories
Something (in this game) will make you feel something (in real life)!
It's anime
If you think about it, QTEs are basically just rhythm games with no music
Please, whatever you do, the title is either all caps or no caps. Be kind to us.
And the idea changes you in return.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
BEAT UNBEATABLE
Great game, definetly worth the wait!!! Can't wait to play through the story again during new years :) didn't encounter any glitches or bugs in my playthrough. character dialogue and gameplay happen at the same time in some intances, so i wouldn't care about story difficulty too much.
I highly recommend this game, with some caveats. For one, the amount of work that was put into it is very evident and I would say it mostly justifies the decently high price tag, but there certainly are a lot of things that could use some polishing. It's very easy for voice lines to talk over each other (which is supposed to somewhat happen for some of them, but they can happen way sooner than it feels like they should, which is jarring), Some areas (mainly the
ocean-side town police building and DC's headspace realm thingy
) have really bad optimization that can have your computer chugging, and sometimes there are things like sprites clipping through objects or weird companion path-finding. ALSO THE ARCADE MAP WITH THE REFLECTIVE FLOOR IS SUPER MEGA LAGGY LOL. On the bright side, the devs made sure to add a video compatibility option for people playing on Linux, which is super cool of them! Obviously the music is great. The game is really good and I think that for the most part the story is extremely solid. It mostly sticks the ending, but I think that a lot of more casual players may find it really hard to put together some of the important pieces (e.g.
the connection between Beat, two worlds the game takes place in, and how acoustic beat is used as a metaphor for how Beat connects to both her world and Quaver's world
) At the least, it was a very moving experience and there are certainly parts of it that will stick with me. If you've dealt or are dealing with grief, I would suggest you play this game; I'm sure it will resonate with you the most of anyone who could play it right now. If you haven't recently, then it's still an amazing and very emotional ride that is very much worth taking.
yes the game is rough around the edges, but its still amazing. please just play it and give it a chance its beautiful. the entire game has so much heart and passion put into it, im begging u if ur considering buying it, do it.
This game is so good i cant even explain it with words. 11/10 game, its game of the year.
I knew i liked the art style and the simple controls when i played the demo for this game. then it sat in my wishlist for 7 months. finally I decided to pick it up. dreading it slipping into my backlog, i checked the time to beat the story (9ish hours). I set aside a day and did it in one sitting. what i found was one of the most poiniant, emotional, stories and world building, and characters I've ever experienced. I had no expectation going in to relate to a single line of dialogue. much less cry multiple times, drawing multiple comparisons to very pivitol moments in my own life and experience. some of the very same concepts that are essential to my existence as a learning and growing human are reflected in this piece of digital art. Do yourself a favor, give it a try. i cant find the comment but ill briefly summarize what someone else said regarding this game. "if your lost, play this game. If you're confident in where you are, play this game. if your 18 play this game, if your 60, play this game" I'll add two more . if you deal (or have dealt) with grief, play this game. and if you want an extremely touching game that can go from ♥♥♥♥ fascists to tear inducing and back again, play this game
A genuinely fun and original game in general, not just RG. The story mode really reminds me of Scott Pilgrim alongside Kentucky Route Zero (that was for just the finale and the dreaming state of Beatrice.). If you feel like spending 20 bucks, this is a MUST play.
I love this game. Its not perfect. I felt lost in both story and gameplay sometimes. But the message(s) it carries and the feelings it evokes are very strong. And that's what stays with me. Thank you D-Cell!
