About
You know, when you explain an idea, the idea fundamentally changes.
UNBEATABLE is an anime-juiced rhythm adventure where you (figuratively) destroy on stage while you (literally) destroy on stage. During rhythm gameplay, you only need two buttons: a button for up and a button for down. Simple to understand! The complicated part is doing it. Try not to get destroyed yourself.
Half the game is walking around and taking things at your own pace. The other half is trying to keep up with ours.
The pink-haired girl is Beat, and she is you, and you have a lot of things to worry about. The cops are everywhere, and they are mad at you for what feels like no good reason. Though it doesn't help your case that you keep making friends with people that the cops are mad at for slightly better reasons. But what do I know?
Talk to people, help them out (or don't, I'm not your mom!), play huge concerts, and punch cops. And then run away from the cops you punched. Also there are monsters or something. Not sure what's going on there?!?!
All of this culminates in massive setpieces where everything is at stake. The music got you here. It'll get you through it.
*if this was 1999 this section would be called "talk the talk and rock the rock"
UNBEATABLE's full arcade mode is an entire game by itself with its own progression system and a full online component. There's modifiers, tons of songs (with more to come!) and a whole challenge board to beat, with things to do that range from as simple as "beat a song on easy mode" to, one may presume, something as complicated as "solve an ancient riddle while skateboarding." That's not a real example.

FEATURES:
Story Mode: 6-8 hours. Arcade Mode: UNLIMITED
Characters that hate you!
Maybe also some that don't!
The arcade mode has a cute little profile you can customize and unlock stuff for and I think that's pretty neat
Graphics! We'd describe them but I mean it's right there, you can see it
A whole entire double album worth of original songs
plus acoustic versions of those songs
oh and also remixes, too
You can unlock all the songs by playing the narrative OR just by playing the arcade game exclusively! Great for those who truly hate stories
Something (in this game) will make you feel something (in real life)!
It's anime
If you think about it, QTEs are basically just rhythm games with no music
Please, whatever you do, the title is either all caps or no caps. Be kind to us.
And the idea changes you in return.

I will be 100% honest in saying I originally bought and played this game solely because Jamie Paige was in the DLC, and I somewhat like rhythm games. But I had no idea the emotional experience and genuine masterpiece this game is. I cried, laughed so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard, spam texted my friend about how insane the plot gets, and then cried some more (and listened to the soundtrack on repeat). It's rare you reach the credits of a game and realize it will stick with you for a long, long time. But I have 0 doubt the impact this game made on me is going to be around for awhile, and I genuinely think it would be sad to miss experiencing it for yourself. I realize I could write an "actual review" where I talk about how the mechanics were, and the graphics and all that. But truly, it does not matter. I played this on Linux when it is very clearly meant for Windows and it is still one of the greatest games I have played in the last few years. I went into this game not entirely sold and just waiting to get to the DLC part. I left knowing it's my game of the year. So believe me when I say: if you have any interest in playing UNBEATABLE, you won't regret it for a second.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

good choice for 1-2 evenings
still watching credits as i type this waited years for it to come out, waited more months to play it after. worth every second. this game is not perfect, it has its janky moments (especially in some of the scene transitions earlier in the game), but it is just OVERFLOWING with passion from every nook and cranny of its production. you can tell there was an absurd amount of heart and vision put into its music, art, story, characters, writing, voice acting (this was especially a welcome surprise), charts, and so much more. phenomenal.
this game is a genuine masterpiece, the story (all six episodes) are wonderfully written, it brings any person to tears still how the ♥♥♥♥ am i meant to beat the game if its unbeatable ????
Every time I loaded up this game I was thinking "ok, time to work through another chapter", and then I reached the final chapter, and then the end, and all I can think about is how I wish could play another. Well arcade mode is there for me so maybe nice things are possible.
Good beat game, lots of similarities with other games in arcade, but interesting plot. If only price was little smaller it would be really solid choice for much more people
Super fun rhythm game. I would just like to have a word with the dev who developed the two mini games in the prison rec center because what the actual ♥♥♥♥ you are a sociopath who probably sits at home getting off to the idea that your customers and supporters are suffering through the unfathomably ♥♥♥♥ covered ass cheeks that are the gameplay mechanics. But otherwise super fun game the music is great, graphics are very charming and the dialog is a good mix of comedic and emotional.
