About
You know, when you explain an idea, the idea fundamentally changes.
UNBEATABLE is an anime-juiced rhythm adventure where you (figuratively) destroy on stage while you (literally) destroy on stage. During rhythm gameplay, you only need two buttons: a button for up and a button for down. Simple to understand! The complicated part is doing it. Try not to get destroyed yourself.
Half the game is walking around and taking things at your own pace. The other half is trying to keep up with ours.
The pink-haired girl is Beat, and she is you, and you have a lot of things to worry about. The cops are everywhere, and they are mad at you for what feels like no good reason. Though it doesn't help your case that you keep making friends with people that the cops are mad at for slightly better reasons. But what do I know?
Talk to people, help them out (or don't, I'm not your mom!), play huge concerts, and punch cops. And then run away from the cops you punched. Also there are monsters or something. Not sure what's going on there?!?!
All of this culminates in massive setpieces where everything is at stake. The music got you here. It'll get you through it.
*if this was 1999 this section would be called "talk the talk and rock the rock"
UNBEATABLE's full arcade mode is an entire game by itself with its own progression system and a full online component. There's modifiers, tons of songs (with more to come!) and a whole challenge board to beat, with things to do that range from as simple as "beat a song on easy mode" to, one may presume, something as complicated as "solve an ancient riddle while skateboarding." That's not a real example.

FEATURES:
Story Mode: 6-8 hours. Arcade Mode: UNLIMITED
Characters that hate you!
Maybe also some that don't!
The arcade mode has a cute little profile you can customize and unlock stuff for and I think that's pretty neat
Graphics! We'd describe them but I mean it's right there, you can see it
A whole entire double album worth of original songs
plus acoustic versions of those songs
oh and also remixes, too
You can unlock all the songs by playing the narrative OR just by playing the arcade game exclusively! Great for those who truly hate stories
Something (in this game) will make you feel something (in real life)!
It's anime
If you think about it, QTEs are basically just rhythm games with no music
Please, whatever you do, the title is either all caps or no caps. Be kind to us.
And the idea changes you in return.

This game is very messy. The pacing and storytelling, at times, is all over the place, The transitions between cutscenes and gameplay are extremely choppy or random a lot of the time, Sometimes you can barely even tell whats happening, And that's the entire point. 10/10 this game changes you for the better

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

There are no words. ...Except the ones I'm about to write here. The story moved me to tears on multiple occasions. The gameplay was really creative, but not too hard. It didn't take 23 hours to beat the story, to be clear. I think I left the game open on the main menu... The art in this game is genuinely beautiful. Once you think you know their tricks, they throw something new at you. Don't even get me started on the music. Seriously, I'm not going into it. Just trust me, it's good. Idk. I have a lot of thoughts but it's a little hard to write this review while still being on the verge of tears. Please please please play this game. <3
刚玩完第五章,实话说故事写得很有中学生在本子上写小说的既视感,但歌单一放,演出一播,我原谅一切了
That title is the biggest lie of all time, 0/10 OK but actually please play it, there's so much heart and soul and talent that went into it and every sound, visual, every word, resonates deep within. Not really a review in the defined sense, but for something that is so much more than just the sum of it parts like this, you can't really review it in the sense of the word. I was in tears in the last hours and it's truly impossible to put into words what those tears even were, hopefully someday I'll put it into something more than words. You have to play UNBEATABLE (spell it all caps or none, and I'm never going lower)
Absolutely fantastic game. Rough around the edges but that's one of the points it makes, It's human. Every element has been considered and is packed with style, from the UI, the environments, character design, all the little tiny mechanics. All of it. It's absolutely gorgeous. At certain points I'd stop and just take in the environments or scene for a sec before continuing. Every single song in the story has its lyrics tie to the narrative whilst also standing on its own as a song. I bought the album named "ALBUM" and listen to it a ton whilst at work or commuting, its cemented itself in my playlist. "Bookend club" never fails to pull me in. (The only thing that annoys me is that they've recently announced a physical CD version of the album with new art, but I've already bought the album on bandcamp) Story doesn't pull its punches and also has a decent amount to say. I cried at certain points, composed myself, then got hit by another gut punch and had to play a rhythm game through tears. Theres also enjoyable humour and a bunch of stuff to do in story mode. Obviously being a rhythm game, theres a ridiculous amount of replayability too. On top of them regularly adding songs and scores, you have challenges where you are given a brief description of the achievement that essentially acts as a clue. It could be to complete a certain set of songs in an order, or play with certain modifiers. There's also a Jamie paige dlc, with the main song "NO EULOGIES" being enough alone for me to want to buy the new album, too. I've been looking forward to this game since the release of it's demo/side game for years, and the wait paid off. Safe to say out of all of the thousands of games I've played its one of my favourites.
maybe the real UNBEATABLE was the friends we made along the way i heart jamie paige
It's a fun rhythm game. I wouldn't say I'm GOOD at this kind of game, but I DO like them. And it was really good. And then the story started to come together. And the story? It hits like a truck. It hits hard. I wasn't expecting it. But I am glad I got to experience it. I really recommend that you experience it too.
This game is an absolute inspiration. If you love music (and I mean, REALLY love music), then this game is for you, full-stop. The team have crafted an experience that makes it clear that they know exactly what it feels like to love music, and art more broadly, more than just about anything in this world--something I have never seen from any other piece of media, ever. Aesthetics are on point, the soundtrack is full of raw emotion, the story fits perfectly into this framework, and on top of it all, the game is fun while remaining simple enough for just about anybody to pick up. Be prepared for a bit of a tear-jerker in the best kind of way, the way that feels like healing, like being seen and heard and having some part of you that you may not have even known existed being understood and accepted. Story mode begins with with a brief meta-commentary about how "this is not a love story," but it absolutely, completely, 100% is. Just not in the traditional sense.
