About
You know, when you explain an idea, the idea fundamentally changes.
UNBEATABLE is an anime-juiced rhythm adventure where you (figuratively) destroy on stage while you (literally) destroy on stage. During rhythm gameplay, you only need two buttons: a button for up and a button for down. Simple to understand! The complicated part is doing it. Try not to get destroyed yourself.
Half the game is walking around and taking things at your own pace. The other half is trying to keep up with ours.
The pink-haired girl is Beat, and she is you, and you have a lot of things to worry about. The cops are everywhere, and they are mad at you for what feels like no good reason. Though it doesn't help your case that you keep making friends with people that the cops are mad at for slightly better reasons. But what do I know?
Talk to people, help them out (or don't, I'm not your mom!), play huge concerts, and punch cops. And then run away from the cops you punched. Also there are monsters or something. Not sure what's going on there?!?!
All of this culminates in massive setpieces where everything is at stake. The music got you here. It'll get you through it.
*if this was 1999 this section would be called "talk the talk and rock the rock"
UNBEATABLE's full arcade mode is an entire game by itself with its own progression system and a full online component. There's modifiers, tons of songs (with more to come!) and a whole challenge board to beat, with things to do that range from as simple as "beat a song on easy mode" to, one may presume, something as complicated as "solve an ancient riddle while skateboarding." That's not a real example.

FEATURES:
Story Mode: 6-8 hours. Arcade Mode: UNLIMITED
Characters that hate you!
Maybe also some that don't!
The arcade mode has a cute little profile you can customize and unlock stuff for and I think that's pretty neat
Graphics! We'd describe them but I mean it's right there, you can see it
A whole entire double album worth of original songs
plus acoustic versions of those songs
oh and also remixes, too
You can unlock all the songs by playing the narrative OR just by playing the arcade game exclusively! Great for those who truly hate stories
Something (in this game) will make you feel something (in real life)!
It's anime
If you think about it, QTEs are basically just rhythm games with no music
Please, whatever you do, the title is either all caps or no caps. Be kind to us.
And the idea changes you in return.

Genuinely awesome game with a great story and characters, I've always loved simpler rhythm games like this (in terms of controls). I'd recommend if anything, to not ruin it for yourself, the story in this game is genuinely one you will never experience again.
1-4 were more just regarding well, the games main point it tries to advertise (music is illegal and you do crimes), but episode 5 was an absolute bombshell, I just, didn't even wanna finish episode 6 at that point, i.. sadly ended up just looking at what happens in episode 6 and i still don't know how to feel, i'll eventually end up playing episode 6 as what i got from seeing others play it might not be the full story, i just... yeah...

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This is not a story about love. But it is a story regarding that which has been lost and is still to be found. While there may be slight issues with load time or frame lag at random moments, it occurs few and far between through my playtime. UNBEATABLE contains so many songs that you would never have thought you could hear and blends them beautifully into a rhythm game and story, not to mention the astounding works created by other artists and feature in the Arcade Mode. I'm not much of a rhythm game player but I still love them and would definitely recommend it to other rhythm game players who enjoy a story with playable songs and minigames throughout.

THERE'S DOOMED YURI AT THE END
I suck at rhythm games but I absolutely LOVE this game

In another review I said that titanfall 2 was the goat. but UNBEATABLE is MY goat. This is genuinely my new favorite game ever since the credits rolled at the end, and I'm still grinding the arcade mode. But that's the thing. This is MY favorite game. Even though I recommend it, this is imo a "not for everyone" type of game. Most will still like it, though. Story: UNBEATABLE(no or all caps) is a sweet little story about feeling and expressing it and oneself. Mostly through music, obviously. Overall, the narrative is very solid, with good and likeable characters, depth, creativity, and all that ♥♥♥♥. If you just play the game, you're likely to enjoy it. But the story does have very obvious, jarring flaws. Major characters are sidelined, causing them to be underdeveloped, which is weird when earlier they hint at backstories that seem important. Side characters are suddenly giving all attention, instead, at times. This not only gives you narrative whiplash, but also makes it so 90% of their character is packed into like 5 minutes. If you ignore the weird pacing and just focus on what's in front of you, which is the experience for like every piece of media then you'll see the honestly impressive way they explore the themes of how people recognize themselves and deal with emotions. This is amazing for people that (to my knowledge) haven't done projects like this before. I mean, this is D-CELL's first game. Gameplay: "I got the sauce and I'm cooking up this recipe" My god does this game have sauce. The gameplay feels so flashy and expressive with honestly not that many ingredients. When it works. There are multiple noticeable bugs in the game, even more before my playthrough where people would get softlocked more than once. Movement might feel clunky, audio playing when it shouldn't, or not when it should. Some gameplay is tedious and feels forced, and it doesn't help that the game doesn't tell you that shift lets you sprint. But when those minor, infrequent inconveniences DONT happen, the game feels perfect. The game feel is insane, as if all art, music, effects, and everything else line up. Art(visuals and music): This is the part that hooks everyone into this game. "ooh overly saturated anime girl with bright rock music" And I don't blame them. This is probably where the devs put most focus in. peak divide cooked with this one, and they didn't even exist before the game. The music captures the exact emotion that it needs you to feel. It's not flawless, like a polished classical piece, but its the imperfections that let you in. but here's the main event. should you buy this game? earlier i said that is isn't a game for everyone. and that's true. You've prolly watched the trailer already. If your reaction is anywhere from "what" to "this ♥♥♥♥ is peak," get the game if its "what is this anime blinding rythmslop," or worse dont If your the type of person to see flaws and not stop thinking about them, dont If you see the imperfections and laugh a bit, then move on, since peak is near, get the game. This isn't a "perfect" game with the big bucks under its belt as funding. This is a game that was made with the glue and tape that is the power of friendship and the love of the game. When you play a high quality AAA title, you think "yeah, this is made by professionals" When you play UNBEATABLE, you think "wow, this is made by people" w essay i guess Edit: BTW, if you encounter the flaws I said, and your not the type of person who's day is ruined when the flow of water goes bad while your showering, you won't freaking care at all. Also the voice acting is peak for like no reason and there's my goat Noodle
