About
You know, when you explain an idea, the idea fundamentally changes.
UNBEATABLE is an anime-juiced rhythm adventure where you (figuratively) destroy on stage while you (literally) destroy on stage. During rhythm gameplay, you only need two buttons: a button for up and a button for down. Simple to understand! The complicated part is doing it. Try not to get destroyed yourself.
Half the game is walking around and taking things at your own pace. The other half is trying to keep up with ours.
The pink-haired girl is Beat, and she is you, and you have a lot of things to worry about. The cops are everywhere, and they are mad at you for what feels like no good reason. Though it doesn't help your case that you keep making friends with people that the cops are mad at for slightly better reasons. But what do I know?
Talk to people, help them out (or don't, I'm not your mom!), play huge concerts, and punch cops. And then run away from the cops you punched. Also there are monsters or something. Not sure what's going on there?!?!
All of this culminates in massive setpieces where everything is at stake. The music got you here. It'll get you through it.
*if this was 1999 this section would be called "talk the talk and rock the rock"
UNBEATABLE's full arcade mode is an entire game by itself with its own progression system and a full online component. There's modifiers, tons of songs (with more to come!) and a whole challenge board to beat, with things to do that range from as simple as "beat a song on easy mode" to, one may presume, something as complicated as "solve an ancient riddle while skateboarding." That's not a real example.
**if this was 1999 this section would be called "party like it's now"
FEATURES:
Story Mode: 6-8 hours. Arcade Mode: UNLIMITED
Characters that hate you!
Maybe also some that don't!
The arcade mode has a cute little profile you can customize and unlock stuff for and I think that's pretty neat
Graphics! We'd describe them but I mean it's right there, you can see it
A whole entire double album worth of original songs
plus acoustic versions of those songs
oh and also remixes, too
You can unlock all the songs by playing the narrative OR just by playing the arcade game exclusively! Great for those who truly hate stories
Something (in this game) will make you feel something (in real life)!
It's anime
If you think about it, QTEs are basically just rhythm games with no music
Please, whatever you do, the title is either all caps or no caps. Be kind to us.
And the idea changes you in return.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

wow
almost everything the negative reviews say about this game are true. if you are still interested in spite of that, buy this game. you will love it.
i don't really ever write reviews, but i feel the need to say:
UNBEATABLE is HANDS DOWN one of the BEST rhythm games (AND overall games) I HAVE EVER PLAYED.
to say that i have thoroughly enjoyed playing UNBEATABLE is an understatement. this game has re-wired parts of my brain i didn't even think had wires to begin with. from the story, to the gameplay, the visuals, the cast, the music, the voice acting, the dialogue - it's all AMAZING (even with it's set of flaws). the gameplay is simple and easy to pick up, even for a rhythm game newbie like myself. it strips the controls down to two and focuses more on cutting through the chaos and figuring out which key to press at the right time rather than having 6+ controls and breaking your fingers every time you load a chart. it's also customizable enough to make it your own. don't like the camera movement? turn it off! hate the controls? change 'em to whatever you'd like - with a complementary secondary set! the story was great and enjoyable start to finish, but it wasn't perfect by any means. there are parts that feel oddly metaphorical and vague at times, making it hard to comprehend for some people, including myself. some concepts don't feel explained to their fullest and it's sad because the game has an awesome narrative, and it covers a lot of really human and vulnerable themes (such as how to deal with grief) amazingly well, i just wish they picked better dialogue for several of the major plot points. i feel that the cast does at least partially fill the holes that the story leaves behind, as they feel vast and interesting - i have NEVER stopped and thought a character was either bland or a copy and paste of another, they're all incredibly unique in their own ways, as well as the INSANE voice actors behind these characters, who do an OUTSTANDING job at bringing them to life. i don't think i need to say much here but the visuals are SOOO good. the way the maps blend 2d art and 3d backgrounds is very captivating and make every place beautiful and eye-catching. and do not even get me STARTED on the music. the music is ASTONISHINGLY GOOD. i have literally played and listened to these songs on repeat for HOURS on end, probably days when totaled; they are THAT good. every scene has a sound track that fits said scene to a t. i cannot stress this enough THE MUSIC IS SO DAMN PEAKKK even when you finish the story, the game has an enjoyable arcade mode i find myself playing for hours on end (even if i'm pretty trash at it), bobbing my head to each and every song until my neck aches. they have a vast list of songs (and counting! they add more and more with each update) that are all enjoyable. (personal favorites being afterburn, sleeping in, and mirror). overall? if i could physically give this game more than one thumbs up, i'd give it ten. even though the game isn't flawless, it's still a breath-taking, emotional rollercoaster that i HIGHLY recommend to anyone interested - you won't regret it. (warning that i really do mean it when i say emotional, the ending had me in TEARS 😭)
honestly, i have mixed feelings with this game. sometimes i was quite confused throughout the story, especially the finale, the ending got me quite confused and off to a rough end. but despite that, i really, REALLY like the animation, the songs, the arcade mode, and the action sequences, the action sequences are the best part. this left me unsure if i like this game or not, but hey, if this game is not for me, others do.
dude what the ♥♥♥♥ it'll kick your heart in places you didn't think existed on said heart 10/10 will cry again
UNBEATABLE IS THE GREATEST GAME EVER. 100/100 GAME OF THE YEAR.
Beautiful game. I played the demo and as soon as they added jamie paige and teto i was sold on it. I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ suck at rhythm games but i swear i will get better for the dlc.
