I'm not even gonna try to hook people to read this.. wait, maybe I will. CUTE HORSE GIRLS BASED OFF REAL HORSES IN AN ANIME STYLE THAT IS NOT A GOONER GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . . . . Did that work? Anyways, on with the review! For a basic line up, Horse girls based off real japanese race horses are basically personified. You train them, and make sure that each race they are in, they reach their goals in order to progress. Really cute game, amazing voice acting, unbelievably good movements, etc, etc! There are many things to do in this game, so you won't get bored within just an hour or two of playing. But... I will say this game has quite a few downs, all in the racing area. Even if you have a decent strategy, most likely, you will fail multiple goals, therefore, unable to progress. The races rely almost entirely around skills, and you need skillpoints to get skills even with hints, (discounts,) They are extremely expensive. But many hints help with velocity or pace, Which means if you dont have the same skills as other teammate, you are guaranteed to loose. it gets EXTREMELY frustrating. Skillpoints are hard to get, and you dont even get any opportunities to get them, and soon enough, BARELY any time to train your umamusume. But, it is still a good game. would recommend.

This game is most certainly a game
*I've played since the game's 0.5 anniversery so my stats on here do not line up with my real stats Umamusume is a very fun gatcha game HOWEVER, it is one of the more intense gatcha out there. Carats (the pull currency for both their support cards and umas) are quite far and few between while also requiring significant amount of them to get effective support cards, so you need to be stratigic on what you skip and what you go for. the training is also quite luck base but again, it a gatcha so you should be expecting this Now with all this negativity above, why have I still recommend this game? Well, the gameplay loop is really enjoyable as well as being able to see that the devs really care about it with constant events, griping storys that match with the IRL horses, and constant refreshers with new senarios. But it important to understand what you are getting yourself into, this game isn't for everyone, and that ok, you can still appreciate the time and care that the devs have put into it without playing it. This game is only a small part of the wider Umamusume franchise, if you don't want to play it but experiance the universe you can watch the anime or play Umamusme: Party Dash (tho from what I've heard it isn't the greatest but hey you may enjoy it.) Overall rating: 9/10. Great game but you need to prepare yourself before entering.
i really love horses now.
If you like number go up games its Very fun. Be warned though that it Can and Will spark a hyperfixation on horses and horse racing even if you were pretty horse neutral before.
