You are a Wehrmacht soldier in 1940 who opposed the Third Reich. Incarcerated by the SS, you must escape the procedurally-generated dungeon with the assistance of the German resistance using environmental clues to avoid detection by guards. Every playthrough is different.

I had the pleasure of being allowed to beta test this game on the Reverb G2. A well-crafted homage to original Castle Wolfenstein with randomly generated dungeons, it is a tense, difficult attempt to elude a collection of German soldiers and escape alive. There are a variety of weapons, perks, secret stashes, hiding places, treasure chests and objectives. The developer has been very open to suggestions and active on the Discord. So much fun.
I got immersed immediately. I cleared the game after a couple of tries learning the mechanics. However in its current state I dont feel the need to replay it because of lack of variety. This is not a bad thing because I enjoyed the experience and the price is fair. Pros The graphics are amazing. Performance is great as well Cons I encountered a weird bug where my left hand just disappeared. The gun is pretty bad and feels more like a shotgun, there is also an issue reloading it because my hands are to far away and feels clunky. The collision is badly implemented, you cant look over a chest or table it will just push you back. I want a holster system / knife. A broken bottle will kill the enemies with one stab but forget about going full on rocky style because you will be dead really fast. Also a deeper combat mechanic would be nice like be able to strangle someone from the behind.
It has its uniqueness, and it is a cool concept. Really want to like it, but for a game so heavily prioritizing stealth--the stealth mechanics aren't very good. If the guards spot even the slightest glimpse of the shadow of your pinky finger, they're instantly alerted to your location and don't seem to ever drop from this alerted state--even if you try to evade them inside of hiding spots the game has literally designated for you.
Pretty good game. reminds me of return to castle wolfenstein but in vr i encountered a bug where i died but didnt i was still able to walk around getting shot but taking no damage for about 2 minutes before dying overall its pretty good
Punch a Nazi in the face. Bash it in the nose with a Brick. Smash a wine bottle over the back of their head, Then use the broken bottle as a shank for the next one. You can even use a metal plate, cup or fork to get rid of the nazis. The missions are challenging! You have a gun, but that is a double edged weapon. Every time you shoot, it could summon an SS guard that is a lot more challenging than the standard grunt or officer. There are traps, pitfalls, secrets, unlockables and achievements. Its procedural generated maps with VR immersion. Oh yea, you can punch Nazis in the face. Take that you fascists! Help out this developer this game is definitely going places.
abandonware
10/10 would brick nazi skulls again, hopefully i get out next time Really fun gameplay loop so far, awesomely responsive developer (join the discord!), looking forward to seeing how this evolves. i haven't escaped yet in about 2 hours of play so its got enough of a learning curve and challenge to keep me hooked. atmosphere is mostly established thru great sfx and radio broadcasts; graphics are not out of this world but it runs perfectly smoothly and doesn't take any performance hits when recording gameplay (9900k/2080ti YMMV) definitely recommend picking up if you love roguelikes but think they need more luger
You can pet the dog :)
Really great game. Still a little rough around the edges but the atmosphere is really great and I have been really enjoying the game so far. I cannot wait for improvements to come (and they will come). This is a real jem. If you like WW2 stories and environments and like a hard game (not a fast paced shooter like COD/Battlefield etc.......). I truly believe this will be a awesome game when it is fully released and I highly recommend picking this up and supporting this great dev. Thank you.
dev is radio silent, no updates in over 2 years at the time of this review; dont buy this abandonware
