About
This is Tyr, a tank shooter where positioning, strategic decision-making, and mastery of unique abilities win.
Tyr features a roster of specialized armored vehicles and pilots. You’ll take control of treaded and hover tanks alike as you angle & position for defense, and rumble and glide across the battlefield.
Each vehicle also offers its own tech tree and ammo & component slots, affording you the ability to upgrade and evolve your ride to suit your playstyle. You may even be able to change up your vehicle’s unique keystone tech to dynamically alter your personal meta.
Each vehicle features a unique power that impacts Tyr’s moment-to-moment play on the battlefield. A tank may have the ability to blink several vehicle lengths forward or back, send out a sonar pulse to spot enemies, or overcharge its engine to ram directly into an opponent and deal massive damage.
In Tyr, you and your opponents will only be visible when within range or while making enough noise. Deciding when to push forward and when to fire from cover could mean the difference between staying hidden and revealing your position to the entire enemy team, so play carefully.
Tyr will test your mental mettle, patience, and teamwork, as deliberate play beats whoever can fire the fastest.

If you play this game, and pick Ark, consistently. You are garbage, you are literally the worst humanity has to offer when it comes to being a team mate. The sheer magnitude of lack of self consciousness you posses is so incredibly large it shouldn't allow ANY Ark to have a single trace amount of camo from the enemy team. The hitbox you should posses as an Ark should prevent any other tank from taking damage until you and all you hold dear behind that BS shot deflecting cracks in your otherwise soft leafbrained insides are splattered all over your bathtub when that toaster falls inside of it from the shelf that broke due to decay resulting from your unmoving unhelping and uncaring ♥♥♥♥♥♥ little personality. Nice cannon tho.
Ist ein gutes Spiel.

It's a really enjoyable little game. Takes a little learning to get into, but I was having a blast after just an hour or two. Many different tanks to suit different play styles with more seeming on the way. Seems like it would be really fun in large organized groups, but the 3 stack I did with my boys was also quite enjoyable. I'm glad I tried it out.
It's a little early to say now, since it's still partially in development, but I've been really enjoying all the different tanks. This feels like a good, strong start to a really great game, after some balancing tweaks and a few good patches. I'm really looking forward to where the devs take this.
this game is super sick, as most reviews state if you're familiar with WoT or WoT Blitz this will feel immediately comfortable, but there's also a number of mechanical differences and quality of life additions that lower the skill floor, increase the approachablilty, and make the game feel more consistent. The immediately apparent example is a live armor viewer in the lobby AND IN BATTLE that tells you where on the enemy tank you can and cannot pen and also your armor if you hold ALT. Other examples are shell damage rng being +/-15%, gun depression and elevation limits shown, the effect of camo, bushes, and shooting on how close enemies need to be to detect you shown by dynamically adjusting circles on your minimap, the whole "precision aim" mechanic, instant sixth sense that stays up the entire time you're spotted... One thing in particular I like which adds a lot of depth to the game is how visible the tracers from tanks are, it's really easy to identify bushes people are sitting in and scout, blind fire, or, in the worst case, play around them. The game also tells you if you damage a tank even if they're unspotted. To counter that at the cost of shooting performance the camper can move or hide between shots, like this little interaction adds a ton to skill expression in the game. It also has broken the shackles of realism and has some mild hero shooter mechanics, like charging up an ability by participating in the battle, but abilities themselves are definitely more on the side of assists rather than tank-defining for the most part. gun stats, mobility, armor, and camo value tend to be the more defining aspects. All of the handful of tanks available feel great to play and they all have distinct personalities (and voice acting!). you'll probably unlock all of them in 20-30 hours right now, with most of them being unlocked on the earlier part of that. I feel like there's something for everyone, and everything is fairly balanced with...two glaring exceptions in my opinion. There's also an individualized tech tree on each tank and a global pool of components and special shells that can be used to further specialize a tank. Want to make your giant armor brick uncannily fast? You can do that! Want to turn your light tank into a sneaky scary tank destroyer? Also possible! The 5 maps in the game currently have me satisfied, there's a variety of ways you can play all of them, even the seemingly most limited one (Scorch). Maybe it's due to the team sizes being smaller but no map feels straight up frustrating to play like in WoT. Honestly the main issue I have with this game is more on the server infrastructure. The server picker is likely bugged and stuck on the auto setting, so if you live outside the most populated region, NA, you might get put in a match running on a distant server, and even if you do get put on your preferred server, there's a minor amount of rubberbanding, rollback, and control-sticking every match caused by server instability. The devs have mentioned being DDoSed so that may be the reason. There's also no in game or lobby chat or voice, and the ping system is very primitive so collaborating with your team is rather challenging. This becomes a little frustrating if you end up in complex endgame scenarios. On the other hand matches are quick, most are well under 10 minutes, so the game has a more arcadey feel in that respect. The only comms in the game are via the clan system, which turns a Discord channel into an ingame clan general chat, which I think on one hand is neat, on the other hand is disappointing that it's tied to Discord. I also hope to see more translations very soon, as a large portion of the audience in the niche this game sits in speaks languages other than English.

No explaining mechanics or maps to new players, like of course a light tank can circle me but when i already got my guns on it it just dashed and then again seconds later, not for me.
Honestly? This game shows a fair bit of promise. Its basically your world of tanks formula but with Sci-fi aesthetics and gimmicks for many vehicles. Matches are fairly quick (5-8 minutes), and its easy to get into. Will be interesting to see how this game develops. Small download, low investment if you're curious.
