About
This is Tyr, a tank shooter where positioning, strategic decision-making, and mastery of unique abilities win.
Tyr features a roster of specialized armored vehicles and pilots. You’ll take control of treaded and hover tanks alike as you angle & position for defense, and rumble and glide across the battlefield.
Each vehicle also offers its own tech tree and ammo & component slots, affording you the ability to upgrade and evolve your ride to suit your playstyle. You may even be able to change up your vehicle’s unique keystone tech to dynamically alter your personal meta.
Each vehicle features a unique power that impacts Tyr’s moment-to-moment play on the battlefield. A tank may have the ability to blink several vehicle lengths forward or back, send out a sonar pulse to spot enemies, or overcharge its engine to ram directly into an opponent and deal massive damage.
In Tyr, you and your opponents will only be visible when within range or while making enough noise. Deciding when to push forward and when to fire from cover could mean the difference between staying hidden and revealing your position to the entire enemy team, so play carefully.
Tyr will test your mental mettle, patience, and teamwork, as deliberate play beats whoever can fire the fastest.

it scratches the same itch as seige but without the toxicity or wait times... i miss the toxicity.
Satisfying, responsive, intuitive + superb UI. Easy to get into while also offering depth. Shorter matches which never feel like a slog. Extremely free-to-play friendly with no grind for upgrades (you can unlock 80% of the whole tank roster and their full tech trees within a matter of days). Each tank plays very uniquely with their ability as well as shape, and stats like the armor profile, speed, damage, penetration. And with every tank also presenting interesting tech tree specialisations. It's a great game. It's free. The only shame is that you haven't downloaded it yet.

Great game! No Pay to win content. Recommend
Amazing game, i downloaded it on a whim because i was bored. this game really surprised me . super easy to get into and just load up and play, and you can also spend hours upon hours unlocking new tanks and leveling them up and build-crafting . one of my new favorite games
solid game, really fun mechanics. Presents a complicated PvP system in vehicle combat and makes it arcade-y and beginner friendly, while also allowing for its own depth of complexity. Only real complaint surrounds perma-death. A game mode or two, whether just being a full TDM or an objective based mode, where you can respawn would be nice. Would give players more of an opportunity to experience the different tanks outside of a firing range. Would also be less demoralizing. I know its early access, but the bones are good and I'm gonna be following this for a bit. I'd also love to see some more tank skins, or even a color picker/sticker system for them, akin to other vehicle combat games. Not necessary but it would be cool
A good game, with fair and minimal monetization. Combat: Core gameplay is well thought out and enjoyable to play, and each tank feels distinct. The aim bloom is quite high at range, and vision is the most crucial mechanic, rather than quick aiming. Progression: I don't really have any complaints here, other than the 2 most recently released tanks take 6x longer to unlock. This seems a little excessive, but still doable in a reasonable amount of time. Performance: No complaints, runs completely maxed at 120 fps without any upscaling - so it should scale down well to lower end hardware too.
Great game - some minor issues with its XP/point system; landing shots on enemies rewards more than winning, so you're not really incentivised to actually play to win. If you go and capture the enemy point, winning the match you only get 200pts/xp. That is less than a single shot on an enemy. And there is no reward for generally pushing or playing tactically, only damage. So being a teamplayer/tactical/playing to win, is essentially discouraged - making it at times feel like a waste of time and effort. Also the "damage zones" seem to 'lie' at times. But otherwise fantastic game.
