About
This is Tyr, a tank shooter where positioning, strategic decision-making, and mastery of unique abilities win.
Tyr features a roster of specialized armored vehicles and pilots. You’ll take control of treaded and hover tanks alike as you angle & position for defense, and rumble and glide across the battlefield.
Each vehicle also offers its own tech tree and ammo & component slots, affording you the ability to upgrade and evolve your ride to suit your playstyle. You may even be able to change up your vehicle’s unique keystone tech to dynamically alter your personal meta.
Each vehicle features a unique power that impacts Tyr’s moment-to-moment play on the battlefield. A tank may have the ability to blink several vehicle lengths forward or back, send out a sonar pulse to spot enemies, or overcharge its engine to ram directly into an opponent and deal massive damage.
In Tyr, you and your opponents will only be visible when within range or while making enough noise. Deciding when to push forward and when to fire from cover could mean the difference between staying hidden and revealing your position to the entire enemy team, so play carefully.
Tyr will test your mental mettle, patience, and teamwork, as deliberate play beats whoever can fire the fastest.

Very fun game. Match Maker kinda wonky sometimes but overall really engaging fast pace tank shooter.
Coming from someone that plays Robocraft and tanki online, this absolutely scratch the itch of playing that type of game.and i'm really happy with that. Game is really easy to pick up but kind of a fun challenge to master your prefered tank in long run. Hoping for another respawn game mode, or new game mode like 'battle arena' in robocraft (i know, exciting game mode on a dead game but maybe dev have better idea to twist that mode to be more fun in Tyr perhpas?) Lastly they plan to remove discord integration for clans in the future too. (As of writing this, i've unlocked every tank except the last two)

A promising World of Tanks-like. Has a lot of QoL features that said prior game lacks- like a good in-menu armor viewer and a tiebreaker system. Also surprisingly balanced given its early state of development; Apart from a couple problem situations the roster all feel at least fairly viable if played to their strengths. Maps are OK but I am not experienced enough in the genre to really comment on the strength of their design. There's a surprising amount of attention to detail for something this early in development, even if the artstyle and visuals aren't exactly cutting-edge. I feel a palpable intentionality of a majority of game design decisions. Vehicles are designed with pronounced strengths and weaknesses, counterplay, and power scenarios to exploit for their pilot. Last Stand is a mechanic that seriously gives the underdog a shot when your average soloqueue team inevitably crumples for no explainable reason. The devs are also very transparent and earnest from what I can tell. Monetization is practically nonexistent- and I'm told the idea is that it'll be cosmetic-only. While I am entirely onboard with that concept, I worry about the viability of the game long-term if the revenue doesn't end up panning out. Even for a small lean team, the money needs to come from somewhere. That being said, if the game remains stable in that respect, there's a LOT of potential here.
"What if someone made World of Tanks, but like... good" is probably the best way to describe Tyr. The game borrows the core tank arena shooter gameplay, the gunnery and spotting mechanics and places them in a sleek sci-fi settings, while improving on them and dropping the frustrations of World of Tanks - no +2/-2 matchmaking, no struggling through interwar bad-tanks, no constant P2W premium powercreep. It's good. You like tanks? Play some tanks. It even has hovertanks.
ADD UKRAINE LANGUAGE!
Idk why people compare this game with WoT. its giving more Tanki Online vibes. Anyways its a f2p game but not fully fun when you are against someone that upgraded more thing than that you have, so you lack a lot of power, and the waiting time can take minutes. so i decided to delete the game. It was fun for how long it last.
прикольно танки онлайн + вот блиц
I'm trying to understand if I like to game by checking out various tanks and gameplay styles. Yet I cannot do so without grinding to unlock more tanks. Yes granted the grind is not horrible like some other games. But even so, I've spent a few hours without reaching a conclusion and only inspecting small parts of the contents. This seems easily solvable, just let me pay to unlock all the contents or at least pay to unlock specific tanks + progress them. I'm willing to pay to reduce the time investment to explore a game, why not take my money? If you need grind based mechanics to keep the player base coming back, perhaps the gameplay loop is not good enough... I would not know because I can't actually check out all the contents... :(
Good
You play as a tank, 8v8 no respawns, obj is to eliminate all enemies or capture their spawn point. The tanks each have one ability and there is a skill tree, so there is build diversity but no wild ability diversity nor personality like hero shooters e.g. Overwatch, Marvel Rivals, etc. Polished, optimized, and slightly innovative with a high skill ceiling though open to newcomers. Another great genre fusion done straightforwardly. By this, I mean this game is tank shooter + hero shooter, as Splitgate is Portal + Halo, Rocket League is Soccer + Driving, Meccha Chameleon is Prop Hunt + Drawing, etc.
