Got somwhat mixed feelings about this game. On it's own, it's very entertaning. The horror aspect definitely goes away quick, and it becomes more humorous I mean, you're a floating brain devouring people! The problem is that it comes with a $10 price tag, which increases my expectations of this game, and this is where it falls short. If it were free on gamejolt, or even 4 or 5 bucks, I wouldn't expect so much and would have enjoyed it way more, especially since the game is only an hour long. Ya know, I went in this expecting something pretty straight forward and simple and ended up pretty surprised that there was a little more to it than just floating around killing people. I mean yeah you do that. A lot. But there are a few things that make this a little more interesting. I love the horror movie references and B-Movie feel this game has too. Over all it's a fun time-waster and I recommend it.

"Twisty's Asylum Escapades" ist ein Indie Third-Person Sammel-und Kampfspielchen. Wir sind Twisty, ein schwebendes Gehirn. Nach einem Massaker wurden wir gemeinerweise in eine Zwangsjacke gesteckt und in einer Irrenanstalt untergebracht. Aber die Zeiten der Gefangenschaft sind vorbei. Also Zwangsjacke abgestreift und viele böse Wesen beißen. Auf dem Weg zum Ausgang können wir Plakate einsammeln, die in Massen an den Wänden hängen oder auch andere Insassen zu Gefolgsleuten machen, die dann für uns gegen Geistwesengezeugs kämpfen. Auch als Arzt verkleiden können wir uns um ungesehen an nevigen Gegner vorbeizukommen. Freundliche Krankenschwestern uns Heiltränke auf einem nicht nur sprichwörtlichen Tablett. Die Anstalt ist recht weitläufig und besteht aus erstaunlich differenten Welten wie etwa einigen altägyptischen Gängen. Die Gegner reichen von Hausmeistern über Ärzten mit Macheten bis hin zu Geistwesen. So ganz ernst nimmt sich das Spiel beileibe nicht. Manche Gags sind auch ganz nett, vieles aber bleibt im Gewollten und in der grauenhaften google-Übersetzung stecken. Grafisch ist das Game nicht gerade überzeugend, man könnte auch sagen häßlich und die Musik ist bestenfalls ganz nett. Darüber könnte man hinwegsehen, wenn es denn mechanisch überzeugen würde. Das tut es aber leider nicht. Die Steuerung ist reichlich schwammig, ein Trefferfeedback praktisch nicht vorhanden. Zudem ist oft unklar, was eigentlich gerade zu tun ist. Und so bleibt das Spiel denn im Gutgemeinten stecken, kann aber insgesamt nicht überzeugen. Twisty's Asylum Escapades — це похмура 3D-екшн/пригодницька гра з елементами Metroidvania. Його стиль геймплея розроблений таким чином, щоб трохи повернутися до ігор епохи шостого покоління Цю версію TAE було оновлено спеціально для випуску Steam і вона має покращену графіку, додатковий вміст і геймплей. Тож приходьте з Твісті та досліджуйте його унікальний світ, роздираючись крізь ворогів, які хочуть тримати його у в’язниці, і, можливо, навіть заведете кількох «цікавих» нових друзів по дорозі. Не бійтеся незвичайності, це гра, тому насолоджуйтесь нею!

[/spoiler] [*] Nice ambiance, but nothing to be surprised. [*] Big map. [h1] CONS [/h1] [*] Crash every time there is more tan 5 enemies following you, which is pretty common. [*] Suffer from awful slow downs when you are being attacked. [*] When you loose all your life you star from the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ beginning! [*] The last part is almost impossible! [spoiler] the soldier have a point-precise accuracy they never miss! And usually you don't have more than 1 disguise and 2 lifes [/spoiler] [*] You found lost, and normally this is good (becuse that means it's a big map to explore) but this time you are followed by enemies that miss 1 out of 10 times! [*] The level up system is useless, why even include it if it doesn't gonna make you stronger or get more life! [*] You cannot skip the dialogs, which are pretty annoying when you are normally walking and have to wait becuse a thing showed up [h1] BUY IT OR NOT? [/h1] Like always , first my score [(4*2) -7= 1], so NO, I don't recommend this game not even to my worst enemy, and I say this becuse i followed this game since it was on Desura, like 2 years ago, and I spected something to change, or at least don't crash/lag. Asking from money in a game that crashes so much shouldn't even be legal! Don't get me wrong, I see potential in this game but need collaboration from the Devs. I'm not gonna ask for a refound only because the game is "tecnically" playable, so goes against my politecs of refound.

Absolutely. Does he care? Of course not, he's a giant floating brain with teeth! He just wants to get out and have some horrific fun while doing it. Twisty's Asylum Escapades is a darkly comical 3D action/adventure game with Metroidvania-like elements. Its gameplay style is designed to be a bit of a throwback to sixth-generation era games (not coincidentally, the type that the developers grew up on). This version of TAE has been remastered specifically for its Steam release and features improved graphics and additional content and gamplay. So come with Twisty and explore his very unique world, tearing through enemies who want to keep him imprisoned and maybe even make a few "interesting" new friends along the way. Don't be afraid of the strangeness, it's a game, so enjoy it! Many people seem to underestimate the game at first glance, so we'd like to tell you a little bit more about it...
