Turtle's Quest is an abandoned Early Access demo/prologue for an intended third person adventure game series from Italian developers, Kid's Revolt. It's a golden era of pirating themed swashbuckling tropical seas adventure, what could go wrong with that? Gameplay consists of basic console peasant button mashing activities like smashing your space bar to stand up, and alternating between different keypresses to crawl. I guess some developers haven't worked out the key differences between PCs and consoles yet. This game gave me a lot of false hope. One of the first things that comes up is that the game features RTX Ray Tracing so I thought I was in for a great experience. Couldn't be more wrong. For starters, resolution is locked and can't be changed (Who does that? That's not okay!). Everything looks blurry as a result of the game just trying to scale to whatever resolution the developers force you to use. The game assets looked like they were borrowed from a Second Life junk pile, they're that bad. The game is badly optimised and despite RTX support, everything else isn't so great. I had to dump down "post-processing" because they slapped a terrible vignette effect over the game. There's no way I could see to turn off motion blur, the effect gamers hate (except console peasants, they need motion blur to make their 30fps games look less completely terrible, even then, it doesn't work). Anyway, you start off in a pirate ship or something that's being blown up, then when you eventually escape, the game kind of dies and you just get a black screen. It doesn't crash, it's just a black screen. You can go back to the menu options if you want, not that it helps to do so apart from letting you quit. So it's fundamentally broken. The game has been abandoned for over 200 days, despite the developers boasting "Early access stage will last less than a month"... that was over a year ago back in August 2021. Early Access kills another game. If Early Access didn't exist, this wouldn't have been inflicted on the marketplace. The developers would have kept it hidden, or they would have finished the game first, and gotten lots of awards for having done their job properly right to the end. Instead, thanks to Early Access, we get yet another broken mess that will never be fixed.

good game
Okay, where do I begin? Yikes. Graphics, ASS. Cameras, ASS. Gameplay, ASS. PS2 graphics, ASS. Motion blur, ASS. Lighting, ASS. Voice acting, ASS. Controls, ASS. Now before you go and say anything negative about me, play the game. It's trash ass money dawg. If you want a Monkey Island experience without all the fun and with ALL THE BORE AND LAMENESS of a Barney NES game, this is is you're game. If you want a great experience, Fortnite would be better. I hate Fortnite.
A masterpiece I would say but you cant get past the mission where you pick up wheels and ♥♥♥♥ cuz Oswald takes everything and then does nothing and he asks you for the same ♥♥♥♥ again, but guess what it doesnt exist anymore cuz Oswald fakin took it.
