turn on the lights carefully is the 3rd in a series of minimalist electricity-based puzzlers, following turn on the light and turn on all the lights. same basic idea, another 45 levels (5 were added after release), but now there are fuses too. blowing them resets the level, something a puzzle game doesn't need, though later stages allow more than one mistake. it also has a demo for the first time. once electricity reaches a bulb and lights it up, it gets disconnected from the circuit and you can deal with the others. fuses are removed by electrifying their blue half, not the red. multi-layered puzzles, starting from level 12, aren't marked on the top anymore (that's where the mistake counter is), but they're pretty obvious, what with a clearly visible smaller circuit to zoom in on with left click. do what's necessary, then right click to zoom out. if there's a warning sign on the fuse box, best not to flip the switch and check what the problem is. the same minimalist presentation and soothing audio. separate volume settings, windowed mode, resolutions and level select available in the menu, level numbers are always visible, but only level select is accessible while playing, which is a shame. as usual, doesn't even take an hour, and as usual, it's fun and doesn't get as tedious as the previous one did towards the end. if you liked the earlier entries and want more, this is more, and since it's mostly trivial and often not instant, I let the level reset thing slide. still, it could've just been a warning, letting you continue after the fuse resets.

A fun game. A bit easy, but I enjoyed it as a satisfying and relaxing experience rather than a particularly challenging one. Originally played the free version on itch.io and liked the game enough to buy it here. My biggest complaint is that there aren't enough levels. Things start to get intricate and fun at the end, but then it just is over. Would have appreciated another dozen or so hard levels at the end. Still recommended, though. It's only an hour or two of entertainment, but that's worth the low price.
Really neat puzzle game! highly suggest, 10/10
A short puzzle game with easy-to-learn mechanic. To turn on all of the lights is the objective of each of the 40 puzzles. Although they don't have to be turned on simultaneously, there is a particular order you must stick to. Main switches, wires, lights, and other clickable components that need to be activated in the proper order typically make up the puzzle board. Checking the primary switches and then following the wires to the lights should be your first step. If there are no obstructions or gimmicks in the connection, it’s safe to turn it on. The right wires are then taken off the screen so you can focus on the remaining ones. The most common elements are rotatable wire junctions that connect different parts of the board and squares with a red exclamation mark that represent short-circuiting. Additional components are added as you advance through the puzzles. The only thing you need to watch for is the short-circuiting. Once you blow all your lives, the entire puzzle resets. The number of lives depends on the puzzle’s difficulty.
Played on Steam Deck. Casual and easy, like the previous games.
A third game in the "Turn on the light" series. This one is the easiest of all three, introduces a failure mechanic and also auto removal of unneeded wires, which makes the levels less confusing. If you enjoyed any of the previous two - definitely get this one. If you haven't played any of them before - still give it a try. It's a lovely relaxing puzzle game.
