About
■ Deckbuilding Roguelike
In this dungeon-exploration game, players use a variety of cards with different abilities to battle enemies and make their way forward. Each run is unique—the types of cards you acquire and the structure of the dungeon change every time you play.
Lose a battle, and everything you’ve gained during that run will be lost.
■ Battle System
Combat unfolds as a turn-based card battle. Players draw cards at random from their deck and must adapt their strategy to the current situation. Each turn, you can take a single action: attack or defend using a card from your hand.
■ Dungeon Exploration
While exploring, you’ll encounter branching paths and various events that require you to make key decisions.
Each choice you make may significantly affect the outcome of your journey...
■ Story
In Tokyo’s bayside area stands “THE HASHIRA,” a state-of-the-art, ultra-high-rise complex. The tower has become a sealed-off space crawling with monstrous beings.
To eliminate the target lurking at the very top, Tsukuyomi, an elite organization sworn to protect the nation, begins its mission—

A free game from the artist behind some of my favorite games (SMT, Persona) AND he trained an ai* on his art style??? THIS IS AMAZING. Every so often, you'll get a unique ai generated card based off your choices in the game so whatever he programmed from the prompts makes the card tailored to you but also is influenced by his art style. Pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ genius. The roguelike system is very well executed. Loving this and can't wait to see where this goes! *Ignore all the ai haters, they're living in fear.
If you like deckbuilding + roguelike progression, Tsukuyomi is a fun climb — pick your path, fight, shop, deal with weird events. Each character has their own deck style, the fights are snappy, and it’s got that modern gothic anime vibe 🎨. The “AI Kaneko” thing — every 10 events you get a generated card based on your play — is unique. But honestly? Some cards felt like slightly re-skinned ones I’d already seen 🤷♀️. The whole AI art choice is bold, but risky — especially in today’s climate. Kaneko says it’s trained only on his own art, but still… people will have strong opinions. ✅ Pros: Fun card combat + clear progression Nice art direction + anime gothic style Mystery events keep runs fresh ⚠ Cons: AI card system feels hit-or-miss and not sure it bring anything to the game Verdict: 👍 Fun if you like the genre — but know what you’re stepping into with the AI system.
Any fans of the Persona or Shin Megami Tensei series will appreciate this game. As a free-to-play title, I have gotten hours out of it without spending a single penny. Is it brutal gameplay wise? Yes, but that's expected when it comes to a "SMT" title. This may not be one in name, but it is in spirit, existing somewhere between original Devil Summoner and SMT IV. I genuinely love this game and expect to continue playing it. The fact it's free is only a plus; I'd have happily spent money for it.
Very good deck-building Rouge-lite from Kazuma Kaneko, famous artist for the Megami Tensei franchise. The gameplay is competently made, with everything you would expect of the genre – card-based battles, node-based maps where you select what type of events you want to see next (enemies, elite enemies, shops, random events, etc.), collecting relics (here called "amulets") which give you buffs/debuffs for the rest of the run, and constantly trying to improve your deck to stay ahead of the enemies that get progressively tougher. Of note is the mechanic where your discard pile only gets reshuffled if your draw pile is empty at the start of your turn – this makes timing the reshuffling an important part of play, since you need to avoid ending up with a turn where you do not have enough cards left to draw to block enemy attacks. It also incentives increasing the size of your deck, which is fun. The meta-progression comes in two forms. One is pulling cards with randomly generated stats, which then stay permanently in your library, and can be added to your deck during future runs. The other is randomly pulling "blessings" which unlock new items to find during runs, power up the ones already unlocked, power up your starting cards, or otherwise make you stronger. Pulls of both randomized cards and blessings require spending of the in-game currency, which can be obtained in limited amounts for free, or bought with real money. The aspect of the game that receives the most attention – unfortunately, in my opinion – is the use of AI art generation for the previously mentioned randomized cards. Whenever you receive one of these cards, its art depicting a mythological character gets generated by the AI in the style of Kazuma Kaneko, making it unique. The game neatly weaves all of this into its fictional universe. There is also a system where you get to vote on other players' card art in exchange for some in-game currency. The quality of the generated art is, frankly, disappointing. The game uses an outdated AI model, which means that generated images exhibit many of the artifacts that used to be common with AI art some time ago. Mangled six-finger hands are ubiquitous, and third legs or torsos growing out of torsos are not that rare either. For some reason the AI likes to give musical instruments to characters despite not being able to depict them correctly. Obviously, occasionally you will get cards that look legitimately cool, but there certainly is more fun to be found collecting hideous AI freaks. It is a shame this game went into production when it did, because if it had only waited a year or two, it would have benefited from all the further advancements in AI generation, instead of being stuck in this weird transition era when it still had these problems. One positive I can offer is that the AI has at least successfully internalized Kazuma Kaneko's art style, so even your three-armed Thor gripping empty air next to a levitating Mjölnir will not look out of place next to the cards drawn by Kaneko himself. I will shortly mention audio. Normally in this types of games I will rather quickly mute all music, and sometimes even all sound effects, as they get annoying to listen over and over again. Here, even after 100 hours of playing, I still like to switch back and forth between listening to external music/podcasts and the in-game BGM. So kudos for that. The story and lore is basically a legally-distinct Megaten. If you were to replace some of the terms in this game with how Megaten games term similar concepts, you would be able to just resell it as "Shin Megami Tensei: Tsukuyomi", and nobody would notice. It even has its own version of the Law-Chaos axis in the different types of Tsukuyomi. And it is good writing as well. While at this point the story-line is rather short, the lore taken as a whole is intriguing enough that I would like to see it explored more in the future. Which will probably not happen. The way I see it, there is no way this game is going to survive very long, as a solid business model is nowhere to be found. There is very little incentive to spend real money as the game gives you enough free stuff to progress at a satisfactory pace. In fact, at one point I was considering buying the premium pass – to get me that free daily blessing – but decided against doing that, because I was afraid that it would make me progress too fast. Clearly that is not an outcome the developers had hoped for. While it would be possible to slow down player progress to force more spending of real money, it would still not fix the fundamental issue that the game simply lacks money sinks deep enough. You can spend to unlock blessings, but there is a limited amount of them anyway, and you can spend in hopes of getting powerful cards, but since there is no PvP, what reason is there to keep getting more powerful once you are done with the PvE content? Hard to see why the whales would continue to dump their money in. The only real money I myself have spent was to unlock Hangetsu – the last quarter of the storyline. But it is a one-time payment for something that required considerable time to create – not something you can sustain a free-to-play title with. I would feel better about this game's future if it were a regular paid title just like, say, Slay the Spire, even if that meant dropping the AI art gimmick – which is the weakest part of the game anyway. That said, that the game is too generous to its players cannot be really taken as a negative – even if it endangers its financial viability – so that last part should not be taken as a mark against it. And since it is free, there is even less reason to not try it out. And then what do I really know, maybe the game is actually making billions in profits and is already planned to have fifty content seasons and a sequel. Anyway, I enjoy playing the game, I paid nothing to get it, and in the end I spent less on it than a similar deck-building Rouge-lite would cost me. Regardless of how long will the game survive, I can confidently leave it a positive review.
I really love this game, I keep playing this and love it
The game is addicting. The gacha is minor. The AI generated art is hit or miss but doesn't affect much. The bulk of the game is not generated art and just Kaneko's original. It does put a few twists on the over saturated dungeon crawling deck building genre: * A card can be held in hand for blocking instead of having dedicated block cards. This somewhat mitigates bad draws. * "Full block" where damage is fully blocked is a trigger for counter attack effects. The first character you start with in the game can be built as a counter fighter. * Your hand is small (3) but you automatically draw a new card after playing one. 0 cost cards are huge. There is also a certain level of risk vs reward: Do you play it safe and hold a good enough block card or do you keep wailing on the enemy, betting that you will draw a better block card? * In exchange for automatic draw, the deck is only reshuffled at the beginning of the next turn if it was emptied during the turn. This can create some rather unfortunate situations if you don't or can't time it properly: You have left over mana but no cards to play. This does add a bit of strategy instead of blindly throwing cards. * Upgrading a card requires throwing away another card. This combines upgrade and culling into the same step. You are encouraged to take card rewards after every battle even just to make them fodder for upgrades. This is apt since the game is clearly inspired by Shin Megami Tensei. * Talking about SMT: there is minor "negotiation"/dialogue with the enemies. Sometimes enemies leave the battle, other times, they got angry and self buff... However, you can't recruit them that way. It's a pity that there is no fusion and it's replaced by AI Kaneko. Overall, it's decent for a mobile game but it could be better if it isn't.
