Trouble Comes Twice

super super cute!! I loved getting to see the twins' relationship throughout the routes!!!

What a beautiful game. A multi-path visual novel that is just packed with ridiculous amounts of charm. It mixes a very silly sibling rivalry and laugh out loud moments with ones that just brought me to tears. Beautiful art, beautiful writing. Highly recommended for romance fans ^^

Honestly, I haven't played Hazel's route. I'm here for the BL, which was pretty good (Jace/Adrien FTW) buuuuttt the siblings' "banter" does get tiresome. It's like they're putting on a show.

I've only completed the story for Hazel/Stephanie so I might be posting my review too early, but they are the main couple I got the game for. They're so cute together!! I found all the characters interesting so far and I'm excited to read the rest of the stories. :3

I’ve finished 5/8 routes so far and I’ve quite enjoyed them. The MCs have very strong and unique personalities, and each love interests personality is totally different so it’s a nice mix of relationships. I will say that I think there could definitely be more romance build up— often the game reads more like slice of life media rather than romance, which is fine but I prefer more romance. I think the pairings with the most chemistry are for sure Jace/Stephanie and Hazel/Cameron. I really enjoyed Jace’s personality and how he acted with Stephanie, and it was clear he fell for her pretty quickly. I also thought Hazel and Cameron fit each others personalities best and they obv have the most sexual chemistry based on the after story. Another thing that threw me a bit off was the change in art styles between the sprites and CGs - even the CGs themselves didnt look like they were in a consistent art style the whole time. I don’t think it was necessarily bad, but it was definitely distracting at first. Overall, it’s an enjoyable game and I love the twist that you get to play as both twins. If the game is on sale when you’re reading this, I 100% recommend getting it. The routes are all about 2 hours long so theres a significant amount of content. edit: I’ve bought the DLC and I think it’s a solid edition. it includes 3 new after stories for every couple. each couple probably gets around 20-30 more minutes of story from the DLC so I think it’s worth getting if you like the game.

故事設定還蠻有意思， 兄妹的賭約根據不同路線， 可能單純是個引子或貫穿整個劇情， 一開始看到兄妹打破第四道牆， 在對方作為主角的路線吐槽對方有點不習慣， 不過習慣後覺得挺有趣跟新鮮， 跟一般的主角自我吐槽相比別有一番風味， 兩位主角除了外貌相似外性格截然不同， 在一開始選定LI後，很快就會進入專屬故事線， 等於是有8個不同的故事，內容很豐富

The intro is... Not my favorite, I will say. However, if you're able to stomach it (or hold that skip button through it) the stories do make up for it a ton in my opinion. I will say, both of the main characters have their own personalities and the creators arent afraid to show you who these characters are and show you that they arent simple self inserts. This is something that I had fun with, but may turn others away. Both Jace and Hazel can be quite vain, especially Hazel, and arrogant but most of the times it added to the comedic factor for me or in some cases actually added something quite interesting to the route. The art style changes consistently between CGs, it appears they had a team of artists and they didnt all follow the same style for the CGs which honestly drove me a little crazy, but not crazy enough to turn me away from the game. So long as you can look past those three faults, it is a fun and entertaining VN that I definitely recommend!

The Stories are meaningful and well thought through! the art is also pleasing to look at! if you want to sit down for a few hours, laugh and continuesly say "aww" taking turns i believe you will like it!

This is the best game ever in my humble opinion. It's the perfect mix of the best kind of MCs and relationships
