just forcing myself to play this game to get all the achievements which i'm not even sure will take when since i'm so burnt out with it lately.
why did this get a thumbs down (and it deserves it too):
- unfair placement of mahjong tiles such as the last two tiles are on top of each other so you're either forced to 'give up' or 'reshuffle' which takes up so much of your coins.
- stinginess with coins. oh my god, this is the WORST because 3 reshuffles is 1000+ coins but you only earn 15 COINS for a COMPLETED LEVEL.
- exiting a level means you 'give up' a heart and you only have a maximum of 5 hearts filled.
- the UI is trash because why in the world would you place the 'replay' button so huge in the middle and the 'x' button so small to close a level you've replayed???
- when you earn an extra heart by replaying a level you only gain 2 COINS.
- the artifacts you collect is only worth 50 COINS.
- oh after you collected all of the artifacts you would assume you can pass the required place, right? nope, suddenly the requirement is 50 stars and you've only managed to collect 45 so you spend more time replaying levels to get stars which does not even show you the requirement to get at least 1 STAR to begin with. if you don't want to replay them then you're forced to pay and voila! YOU DON'T HAVE ENOUGH COINS.
all in all, i've played several of these 'free-to-play-mobile-ported' games on steam such as [url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/435030/Lost_Lands_Mahjong/] Lost Lands: Mahjong [/url] (which i recommend if you like mahjong but with different puzzles to play too), [url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/591960/Animation_Throwdown_The_Quest_for_Cards/] Animation Throwdown: The Quest for Cards[/url], and [url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/3184160/Spellchanted_2D_Hidden_Object_Puzzle_Adveture_TileMatching/] Spellchanted 2D Hidden Object Puzzle Adveture Tile-Matching [/url] to name a few but this is essentially the WORST CASH GRAB ONE with very unfair mechanics.
save yourself the amount of stress with these uncounted steam achievements plus all the cons i listed above and pay a small price to enjoy a mahjong game without cash grabs, unlimited lives and counted steam achievements by getting [url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/539270/Mahjong/] Mahjong [/url] instead.
