Funny little game for funny little people. The trailer tell you everythign you need to know, but its less stressfull then it looks.
This game seems to resemble the First Train Valley But its far far far far far better than that. I'm looking forward to any expansion packs this thing might have and future Train Valley products!
If you loved train valley 2 and want some more maps I recommend this game. It feels slightly less polished than train valley 2 and has the odd bug, which is why some of the reviews are negative, but it is very playable and still has amazing sounds tracks to listen to as you play.
Хорошая, расслабляющая игра, но иногда заставляет задуматься.
One more into collection. Not the best one, not the worst one, definitely better than a previous one :D.
Ce jeu est très prenant, je le conseille à tous les fans de Train Valley. Par contre la durée de vie est vraiment très limité, un peu déçu là dessus. Il ne m'aura fallut que 1 semaine pour le finir à 100% des succès Steam.
Feels in general like a downgrade from previous train valley games, still fine for the asking price on sale
Train Valley Origins is a railway-themed puzzle and management title developed by Flazm and published by Polden Publishing. As the latest entry in the Train Valley series, it refines the formula that blends real-time traffic control with thoughtful track construction, presenting players with increasingly intricate logistical challenges. Rather than aiming for sprawling tycoon-scale simulation, the game focuses on tightly designed scenarios that emphasize problem-solving, efficiency, and careful planning. The structure revolves around handcrafted levels set across multiple historical eras. Each stage presents a compact map dotted with stations that must be connected by player-built rail lines. Trains spawn with specific destinations, and it becomes the player’s responsibility to ensure that routes are laid out intelligently and that switches are toggled correctly in real time. The balance between pre-planning and reactive control defines the core tension. A single poorly timed switch or inefficient track layout can cause delays or collisions, encouraging players to think several steps ahead. Track construction is simple to grasp but layered in execution. Players drag and place rail segments between nodes, creating intersections and branching routes. However, limited terrain space and financial constraints prevent reckless building. Every piece of track costs resources, and optimal layouts often require creative thinking rather than brute expansion. As more trains begin operating simultaneously, the map transforms into a dynamic puzzle where timing and foresight become as important as structural efficiency. The game’s difficulty curve is carefully paced. Early missions introduce basic routing mechanics and manageable traffic flow. As the campaign progresses, levels incorporate tighter spaces, more frequent train arrivals, and complex junctions that require constant attention. Optional objectives, such as completing levels within strict time limits or minimizing construction costs, add replay value. These challenges encourage mastery and experimentation, pushing players to refine strategies beyond simply finishing a scenario. Visually, Train Valley Origins adopts a clean, stylized aesthetic. Landscapes are colorful and charming, featuring thematic environments tied to their respective historical settings. Trains and stations are clearly distinguishable, ensuring that gameplay remains readable even when traffic becomes dense. The art direction favors clarity over realism, making it accessible while maintaining a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. Sound design complements this tone with subtle train effects and understated music that enhances immersion without overwhelming concentration. Progression offers additional motivation through unlockable locomotives and cosmetic variety. As players complete scenarios, they expand their collection of trains representing different periods of railway history. While these unlocks are primarily aesthetic rather than mechanically transformative, they reinforce the historical journey and provide a sense of achievement. The inclusion of a level editor and workshop support further extends longevity, enabling community-created challenges that can surpass the complexity of the base campaign. Compared to more expansive railway simulators, Train Valley Origins intentionally maintains a puzzle-centric focus. It avoids deep economic systems or open-world expansion in favor of contained, well-structured challenges. Some players may wish for greater simulation depth or larger-scale networks, but the streamlined design ensures accessibility and consistent pacing. Its charm lies in presenting logistical dilemmas that can be tackled in focused play sessions rather than marathon management campaigns. Overall, Train Valley Origins succeeds as a thoughtful and approachable railway puzzle game. It balances simplicity and strategic depth, offering satisfying scenarios that reward careful design and quick decision-making. While not as mechanically complex as full-scale transport simulators, it provides a polished and engaging experience that captures the essence of railway management in a compact and inviting format.
