It's actually like FlatOut 2 – with additional game modes. The in-game music is similarly good, though I think there are fewer tracks. Unfortunately, the optimization is TERRIBLE. The game stutters terribly, especially on DX 12, regardless of the graphics settings. It also has an old FSR 2, so they haven't updated it. FPS drops during fast driving, collisions, or explosions can even lower the frame rate to 30 fps. I've only just started the game, but I already know I'll be playing it because it's fun. But the graphical optimization is really bad. And another minus is the voice acting and the character's lines while driving. They're quite embarrassing. In real life, it doesn't sound good, but rather very clumsy. In my opinion, many of the game's mechanics, such as gathering fans or the various types of races, are poorly explained and require us to guess. There's no encyclopedia. I would also remove the horns, they are unnecessary. The Michalovyc dancing animations after winning are also cringe... you have some room for improvement before Trailout 2. But optimization is the key. I also feel like the sound is set incorrectly. The engines and effects are very loud, while the music and voices are quiet. Oh, and it would be nice to have a percentage counter for the sprint to show how much distance we've already covered. There is also no option to pause videos with the ESC button.

So good i bought it on both steam and ps5 online multi-player would be dope to have thoe
THE GOOD: -The selection of cars is extensive and very varied. -There are cheat codes hidden within the game that you can use to get new cars/skins. -Moment to moment gameplay feels good and chaotic. -The story is funny and the characters are memorable. -The zombies side mode is honestly kinda fun and could be a game on itself. -Game modes are more varied than most arcade racers out there. -The selection of maps is fair enough, i'd wish there was more, but there's already a good bunch and again, centered in variety between deserts, city, snowy mountains, etc. -You can put your own music into the game very easily. -Thankfully, the rewards for the Joker ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ mode have been enhanced and now it kiiiiiinda is worth it to try that unbalanced BS out from time to time, just to see if you're lucky. -Very satisfying car destruction. -Thankfully there are a couple exploits that let you skip the economy balancing disaster of this game. The intended one: just play 5 or 6 Stunts (I mean Stunt mode), those give you the amount of money races should to begin with. The not intended one: If you have the TANK DLC, just choose a race, set it to max laps on the longest track for maximum profit and kill everyone else in the race. That way you'll barely need to do any laps and the money will be yours once they're all dead. THE BAD: -The AI will always use the same set of cars (depending on the car rank), meaning you officially cannot use some of the slower ones and even be competitive. -The economy is BROKEN. Literally if you select eliminator mode and place around the middle of the grid, you'll be rewarded with about $300 and if you, for example, use a good car, since it will be broken (cause eliminator, duh), you'll need to pay $9000. Which means you cannot play that mode casually and you'll be pulled by other modes that don't use your cars in order to GRIND money to repair you actual car. This issue becomes EVEN WORSE when we take into account "New Game+", since from then on, your character will ALSO have health, which means, If you use (for exaple) a BIKE, and your character falls TWICE, you're not only out of the race, but will have to PAY FOR THE HOSPITAL FEE! Which means, between those two issues, out of the full roster of cars, you'll be using about 1/4 (unless if you like single model races, where everyone has the same vehicle). -The Joker is more often than not, unfair. It's not even remotely fun, it's frustrating. Some of the challenges can be a bit fun SOMETIMES (the icecream one is kinda neat), but the vast majority (like the suicide guys, the drunk race, anything that makes you have a worse car than the oponents...), are unfair BS (i'm pretty sure it's literally, and i do mean LITERALLY, impossible to win the drunk one). -The Workshop for this game has been promised since millenia ago. The father of my father talked about it as if it was about to drop... yet 70 years later, he's dead, and In his last moments, within his dying eyes, while I held his hand, I could still see the sparkle of joy become a hollow dark void of betrayal and suffering. In his grave, the words "I wish I could have fun, It really isn't that hard" are sculpted. My father told me that I should forget about it, "it's not worth it, we have other games with workshop already", and yet in his eyes I can see the same spark. I still wonder if i'll have to see my father go through the same nightmare my grandfather did. But now, If... no, WHEN Trail Out fails him... i don't know if I'll be strong enough to stand it. So I shall make the sacrifice... with a tear running down my cheek, I tremble as I Install FlatOut. It's over.
Trail Out is a great game. It's filled to the brim with references to other games/movies, which in my case adds to the experience. I find it amazing how the game was made by a small team, but they still have big and well-designed maps, the ability to add your own music to the game, tons of game modes, a great destruction physics engine paired with decent driving physics. I especially love that the game gives you the ability to destroy nearly everything in your path. Ever since I was little I was curious how far the destruction physics can be taken into games, however since the 8th console generation, destruction physics have become less relevant (with the exception of JC3, JC4, BeamNG and Teardown). I played the demo and initially didn't like the game, not because of the gameplay, but because of its personality, or better said, lack of personality. In the demo it wasn't evident to me that the game is meant to be a spiritual remake of FlatOut2 with a lot of references to online media, I thought it was just copying ideas. Even though I really enjoyed the game because I caught most of the references, I do think it's still a fun game if you were to remove those. The driving is fun and there are a lot of explosions, which in the right scenarios make the game very intense. Sure, it does have some issues, like how I experience a lot of noise if I turn off TAA (I really hate the TAA smearing), the performance is not that great for an UE4 game (even though it does look awesome in a lot of scenarios) and the voice dubbing is rubbish, but it's a fresh breath in the world of racing games and a really fun title. I would also like to add that the soundtrack is awesome. I understand if you may hate some of the songs, but a lot of modern games completely miss the idea of matching the soundtrack to the gameplay. Having rock with high BPMs is perfect for a game like Trail Out, which loves explosions and high speed. Now, just for my own racing game common knowledge, I am going to make a list of games from which Trail Out took inspiration from. I'm going to only include gameplay related things and not voice lines references, as the list would way too long. -FlatOut 2 - Trail Out is a spiritual successor to FlatOut2, so a lot of elements coincide, but if you never player FlatOut, the first two elements which pop in my head would be the similar HUD and driving physics. -Need for Speed Most Wanted (2005) - the blacklist (duh) -Need for Speed Hot Pursuit (2010) - here we have two things; the combat mechanics from the hunter mode and the sound effect used when you claim an achievement. The sound is very similar to the one which HP uses when you encounter a new cop/a pursuit starts with a parked police car -Blur - it's the inspiration behind the DASH game mode -DiRT? - there's a RALLY DRIVE game mode, however it is too general to pin it on a specific rally game, so DiRT it is just because it is the most well-known. -GRID 2/GRID Autosport - the menu sounds have this echo which just takes my mind to those games. There's also the FESTAPP which has sound effects very similar to the UI sound effects from GRID Autosport. There's the garage menu, where you can see your car and a screen on it's left, just like in GRID 2. -Road Rage - the bike/motorcycle gameplay features a combat system similar to the game. -Burnout Paradise - the junkyard. Beside BP and Trail Out, I don't think I EVER saw a game use a junkyard as a main gameplay feature. -Clutch/Armageddon Riders and Call of Duty Zombies - There's a DEAD OUT mode where you have to kill zombies and bosses in order to earn money and upgrade your car/equipment. You can also exit out of your car, which can turn the game mode into a TPP shooter, which paired up with the bosses make me believe the CoD Zombies was specifically the inspiration source. There's also the zombies, which have a similar behavior to the ones from Clutch. You can also add armor to the cars, which will make them look like the ones in Clutch, very cool if you ask me :D -Need for Speed Carbon - when there's a collision between you and another driver, you can see their webcam, like how you can see a bosses webcam in Need for Speed Carbon -Forza Horizon 5 - the camera shot when you cross the finish line is very similar to FH5
la verda es que me encanta este juego PERO NO PUEDE SER QUE SEA COMO LA QUINTA VES QUE PIERDA MI SAVEGAME NOSE POR QUE CADA VES QUE DESINTALO EL JUEGO LA PIERDO ARRGLEN ESE ES EN EL UNICO JUEGO ME QUE ME A PASADO ESO
I want to like to this game but I can't. I really bought this game because of the advertisement of a SPLIT/Second game mode... but once you start the game it throws you into a career mode that's corny and not needed. The corny career is the least of my worries, you have to deal with the janky car physics when turning. All the cars want to drift rather than actually turn. I don't understand why they took a page out of Mario Kart and Need for Speed on that one. Single player racing game? Bold move. I'm sorry I can careless about our Russian driver, give us a good racing game to play with our friends. This game could have easily been a great game with custom multiplayer tracks and such. The developers missed out. You could have at least added in daily or weekly tracks like TrackMania so players can compete with each other on a leaderboard to see who's the fast in specific game modes... Nope, not even that was added in.
For a game that emphasizes crashing, the controls and physics are incredibly janky. Also the game is ridden with countless bugs.
игра понравилась из за хорошей графики и сюжета
Flatout was fun, ran on every toaster hardware out there. Nothing good to say about this one since I struggle to get it playable or real "ingame" impressions - even when turning all graphics / resolution down to the very bottom. I can achieve 25 fps for 3 seconds or so, the constant lagging & freezing makes Trailout totally unplayable here. Since users with very good hw conditions also reported performance problems i feel confirmed with my opinion. It's a shame nowadays developers do not optimize their games anymore. They have their well-off customers & don't care about low end gamers at all. The game looks even worse than any PS2 Flatout game if all graphics option are set to the lowest possible entries. Additionally adjusting the GameUserSettings.ini did not really improve the performance further for me. By turning shadows off and using an aweful 640×360 resolution results lead to astounding 14 - 27 fps, including permanent freezing every few seconds. Anyway I got a foil worth the game's keyshop price I payed for. No loss for me at all devs!
