About
Trail & Error is a chaotic co-op survival game for 1–8 players where poor decisions, bad luck, and questionable teamwork are just as dangerous as the trail itself.
Travel together across an unknown frontier, manage limited supplies, survive unpredictable disasters, and try not to abandon your friends when things go wrong. The goal is simple: reach the end of the trail alive.
Every run is a shared journey filled with dynamic events, environmental hazards, and tough choices. Food runs out. Illness spreads. Weather turns hostile. Your wagon breaks at the worst possible time.
When disaster strikes, you’ll have to adapt on the fly or deal with the consequences.
Movement and interaction are driven by physics, turning everyday tasks into unpredictable problems:
Haul supplies and manage a physics-driven wagon
Navigate rough terrain and environmental hazards
Watch plans fall apart in the funniest ways possible
The physics won’t always kill you, but it will make things complicated.
With proximity voice chat, coordination matters especially when things start going wrong. Expect frantic callouts, bad ideas, and arguments that feel all too familiar.
1–8 player online co-op
Physics-based wagon and character movement
Randomized events and dynamic weather
4 Different map biomes
Survival based mechanics
Resource management: food, health, and illness
Proximity voice chat for immersive (and chaotic) communication
Trail & Error is about teamwork, survival, and the comedy that comes from everything going wrong at exactly the wrong time.

Genuinely fun friendslop game, and I appreciate the added difficulty in a genre of game that's usually too easy. Feels really good to progress to a new checkpoint after dying a few times. Hope this game blows up! The dev tries to reach out and thank anyone who uploads a video of the game, which is really sweet. Hoping we get more checkpoints, mechanics, etc and the game gets big :)
much fun good job devs *thumbs up*
Overall the game concept is solid and has a lot of fun moments but I feel there are some things that need addressed before I would really recommend this game: There are several glitches that really become frustrating. Wagon somehow lifted into the air (in plains area where there are three signs very close together) and got stuck on a tree branch, unable to get lose to continue, no mechanic to unstick yourself or restart without losing money and inventory. Oxen disappear randomly while crossing several areas including small stream and small bridge. Desert storm became permanent in a play through (weather is only supposed to be intermittent). Also some annoying UI, like unequipping your clothing constantly.

I think this game has great potential but a lot of small glitches needs to not happen. I just had an instance where the steer bumped a sign and the whole wagon just glitched and fell apart. Not to mention you loose your clothes way too easily in this game. The wagon glitches need to be fixed asap.
pretty good i would rate it a 7 out of 10
Fix the water physics. wagon jumping out of the water every time and I cant level it out.
I purchased this game twice. 1 for me and the other I steam gifted to my partner. Despite charging me for both copies my partner has not received it. Seen good stuff about this game.. keen to try it.
This game could be fun if the physics would cooperate. If a deer walks into your wagon it will push you into a lake or down a mountain. If you need to shoot a bear, the gun will auto-lock to your wagon wheels. If you flip your wagon, that's the end of your wagon half the time. This game has a lot of potential, but right now, not worth it. (also, sometimes my mouse goes away after I die so I cant become a ghost)
Such an amazing game.
The game was fun but me and my buddies beat it within like an hour or so. Really hope their going to add more content to the game.
