Initially I played alone and it was enjoyable enough. I bought it for my friend and going through the levels with her was so much more fun.We had such a laugh together so I'd say the game CAN be played solo but it's much better with friends. 👭 You're trying to climb your way through a house as little toy soldiers starting in the basement and working your way up. I loved the design of the rooms with funny little names given to certain food items or books and references to the studio's other games such as a big poster for Doll Inc and Doll Impostor on the wall . 🪆 There are checkpoints to reach which save your progress so if you fall , its just a matter of hitting "R" to be teleported back to your last checkpoint. The checkpoint is for everyone so if you are struggling to get past a section of the map and your friend was able to progress and reach the checkpoint then you can teleport yourself to the checkpoint as well. My friend was much better at the parachute than I was to our great amusement. Speaking of the parachute, I missed picking this up in my own playthrough. The first parachute in the basement level is supposed to unlock when the player approaches the adjacent flagpole checkpoint. This did not happen for me and I could see a little parachute floating way across the room. With no feasible way to reach it, I went ahead without it. I reached the kitchen and thats where my solo run ended, when I realised the parachute was absolutely required to progress. I then played with my friend and was expecting to start the game from fresh so she could experience the game from the beginning but there didn't seem to be any option to choose a new game so she had to jump in where I left off, chute-less in a big kitchen which clearly required the chute. We got around this by restarting with her as the host and when we came to the flagpole part , the parachute unlocked . It wasn't enough to just be at the pole and for the flag to change from red to green... it required us to actually walk on the base of the pole to finally unlock it. 🏁 I had to jump off early but I want to go back and finish the game. Thank you to my lovely friend Mal for playing , we'll play again soon 💜
i love the intent of this game but the controls and graphics are too jerky. too easy to miss simple jumps and movements. The frustration level involved overshadows any enjoyment while playing.
I've been playing for just over an hour and I'm really enjoying Toy Escape! The idea of being a little toy trying to climb a huge house to get to the roof is really fun and nostalgic, reminding me of Toy Story. The environments are full of charm and I love the toy-scale perspective. It can be a little frustrating when you fall and have to replay large sections, but luckily there are checkpoints that make it easier to keep going. Overall, it's a very entertaining experience, and I'm sure it will be even more fun with friends!
Good game!! but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ parachute :D
This game is multiplayer but not co-op. You are all players that happen to be on the same platforming obstacle. No coop interaction whatsoever. The physics and grappling mechanic is too imprecise for a platforming game that requires too much precision jumps and climbs.
I have played a hundred only up like games, I like only up like games... BUT, This is absolute garbage. No comment, refunded of course. I mean 5 bucks is not much but this is work of some extremely amateur developer if I can even call it that. NO SUPPORT ALLOWED.
I got all mouses! 10/10
It’s enjoyable when the controls work the way they’re supposed to, grappling is trash when you’re trying the same jump over and over and over again and it just won’t work, the parkour type launch over a ledge would be nice if you could choose to do that instead of climbing up the ledge but since you can’t choose which way you jump over something you might just launch yourself off to the floor when all you wanted was to climb up a ledge, some rooms have too few flags / they’re too far apart. The camera is too far sometimes for the obstacles they have you do, I literally can’t see where I’m jumping in these tight areas it’s very frustrating. Otherwise good game i recommend, but only if you have unlimited patience or a friend who can do slightly better so you don’t get stuck on the same obstacle for an hour
