About
Greetings to our newest toy inspector!
Today is your first day of work here at Toy Maker’s TOY BOX. At the end of their shelf life, it’s up to clever inspectors like you to decide which of the Maker’s creations are worth salvaging.
Pull apart stitches or rip off an arm or two; we support whatever you must do to ensure that you only save toys of the highest quality. Should you ever feel unsure, there’s no need to panic! Simply toss the trash where it belongs: the incinerator. After all, it’s of the utmost importance that inspectors upkeep the Maker’s image.
We look forward to your hard work here at the TOY BOX and congratulations – only the most special candidates have the honor of inspecting on behalf of the Maker!
Inspect up to 5 loveable toys!
Unlock 3 totally not terrifying endings!

A fairly short point-and-click game with a great spooky atmosphere. Every inspection feels unique, with a good variety of disturbing elements from the characters themselves to the tragedies that befell them. The mini-games vary in type, with the first two being a sort of whack-a-mole while the others end up involving a memory sequence and dragging your cursor a specific way. The mini-games are very much not the focus compared to the real draw of delving into the stories behind each toy. Personally I found Lamb Head and Lil' Precious to be the most compelling when it came to the uncomfortable darkness of their story and how intertwined their fates were (
even an entire ending because of them
). Everything involving Tune-Me-Toe threw me for a loop, and I REALLY just want to talk to whoever designed that disco ball. I can't say I was the biggest fan of the Routine ending, as it felt quite jarring to go from my last inspection to that segment so quickly. It didn't help that, depending on your pace, you may have hardly seen the Grand Toy Maker. That's not even taking into account that for the Martyr ending, you need to
have him interrupt you 3-5 times based on an invisible timer in the background (I managed to get it with 4 interruptions since he never showed up for me during Lamb Head's inspection)
. I'm not sure why, but even after multiple playthroughs and a fresh reinstall, I was never able to unlock all of Hogdollar's soundtrack. Complaints aside, I'm glad Edwin from RPS introduced me to this game!

This game was so sweet and amazing. I'd recommend it for anybody willing to get into some serious topics
I played this awhile back and my viewers did enjoy the disturbing nature of the game. I liked the art style as well as the analogy of the toys themselves. It's not a super long game, so I think people should give it a try for the story aspect. But it also may not be everyone's cup of tea.
A lovely little horror game where you are absolutely not some sort of angelic soul-sorter sifting through the good and the bad of the dead, condemning them to either Heaven or Hell, and where God is absolutely not an overbearing perfectionist that cannot grasp that rules are made to be bent, and not all expressions of hate are equal. Loved all of the characters and the symbolism ingrained in each. Was not expecting a guy with a foot fetish to show up. A jack-in-the-box crank out of ten.
Genuinely not as disturbing as the description makes it out to be. It's worth a play. As a warning though, the disassembly parts are wonky on steamdeck. You're better off playing this with a mouse.
A disturbing game that left me speechless at times, it opens up the doors to uncomfortable, yet (unfortunately), realistic conversations.
This is a good quick game for the low price of free. It has a bit of an odd mechanic where there is an invisible timer, and said timer doesn't appear to work if you're a fast reader and have finished the dialogue, which made me lose interest in one of the possible ending types. The two I got were pretty cool, and the stories of the toys were compelling and painted very clear pictures of their characters for how brief the interactions were.
