For Mother Matron

This is 3 AM thoughts as a game. Seriously, a wonderful job of weaving this narrative and strike a consistent thematic chord. Did a good job on world building, and leaving breadcrumbs along for players to discover along the way. The entire time, I was guessing along with the new info that dropped and I'm happy to say the ending was unexpected--but it was there all along. This game will stay with you looooong after you're done playing. I am hoping for an expansion on this world that was created, either as another game or as a novel. I loved it that much.

免费恐怖游戏里的精品，其实之前玩过一次这游戏，看到更新了内容想重新体验，结果遇到了闪退根本没耐心再来一次（虽然可以skip已经读过的内容），建议玩的时候记得即时存档。本评论一半基于更新后的游戏，一半基于之前游玩的记忆。更新后多的内容大概有词条解释，人物介绍和立绘。几次jump scare都挺有早期日系恐解rpg的风格。画面是真实照片和手绘风相结合，怪诞感直线飙升。音效做得不错，甚至大部分npc还有配音,音色贴脸且不咋棒读，我挺喜欢的。 故事涉及了很多主题，cult、母职惩罚、克苏鲁等。一开始女主是在黑心缝纫厂里工作，体力不支后去医院看病，很有一种计划经济下的苏联的感觉，但一查游戏语言发现没有俄语，意外。随后开始讲解世界观，非常浓厚的既视感，和进击巨人一样被围墙圈养的城市居民，围墙外是迷雾和未知，教会头领mother Matron创造鼠群的“神迹”，获取权力。不幸的女主刚看完病就被mother Matron派去做近乎送死的任务，直接破防，女主原本和她之间的关系给人一种很微妙的“母亲的眼神是女儿这辈子最怕的东西....赞扬是最想要的东西”的味道。之后女主会找两个队友一起去执行送死任务，期间会发生闪回，遇到怪物，隐晦揭露了女主身世秘密的一角。但比较高开低走，结尾被迫死亡二选一，两个结局我都不喜欢，其一容易陷入虚无主义，其二有种病态的集团主义感，不过可能也是从侧面说明人类本质是群居动物，本能会寻求融入和“合群”。 总之喜欢这类题材的话还是建议尝试，尤其是如果现实生活不太如意的话更是格外能共情（悲）。作者在通知里说了可能会有第二部，估计还是这种又病又怪的故事。

美术风格和故事开场挺不错的，后面比想象的还无聊，很多东西反正也没解释 氛围作，没有可读性

A sinister delight! The amount of effort and love that went into this game is amazing! Such an eeriely engaging world building! I really liked the juxtoposition of different textures, artstyles and environments used in this game. Really visually appealing and strange in the best way! A really unique experience for sure. Give this game a go! TAKE THE MEAT!!!!!!

En peu de mots, FOR MOTHER MATRON est un roman visuel d'horreur atmosphérique dans lequel il s'agit de survivre à des situations de vie ou de mort dans un monde misérable. Il propose un scénario obscur, des choix chronométrés et des scénarios que vous devez gérer au mieux de vos capacités. L'intrigue brièvement : Lizzy est une jeune fille qui vit dans un endroit appelé « The Boarding », une ville délabrée entourée d'un brouillard impénétrable. Tous les habitants vivent pour servir la mystérieuse Mère Matrone, que chacun vénère comme son propre parent et chef. La Mère Matrone charge Lizzy et deux garçons, nommés Pux et Rich, d'explorer le Crépuscule qui se trouve en dessous. Peu d'entre eux sont revenus, et ceux qui l'ont fait ont été transformés à jamais en épaves folles et pleurnichardes. Le cœur plein d'inquiétude, les trois personnages s'enfoncent dans les profondeurs... Grâce à votre intelligence et à votre rapidité d'esprit, vous devez essayer de guider Lizzy et ses amis à travers les dangers qui les attendent dans le Crépuscule. Pourrez-vous survivre ? Pourrez-vous découvrir les secrets de l'internat et de la mère matrone ? Ou bien serez-vous perdu dans l'obscurité pour toujours ? Vous recevrez 12 succès +/- facilement.
